Not a garage sale, but FB marketplace score for $100. Nearly new Snap On Coolant pressure tester, Lisle fan clutch kit, lang slack adjuster tool, and an IR 3/4" impact gun (I think it's a 2141 but no actual ID stickers left on it)
Gilmour hose nozzle. My first duplicate, unfortunately.
Out of How many? I have 26 "twisters" and none have duped. so maybe even more
Quoted for truth.Darn this thread! I've had a long dry spell of good estate sales, and reviewing the latest posts got me jonesing for a good score. So, I did what I swore I'd never do again and bid on some tool-related auction lots on MaxSold.com. Sigh. I need a good cob webby basement or workshop to crawl through...other than my own!
People keep using words on this thread that I don't understand.I don't need two DP in my small 2 car garage...
Thanks Don! Mine is a little different inside. Layout is different, no cast-in sizes for the bits & extractors, yours has several fat nut-like things that probably enable the extractors to be turned--which I believe is the purpose of my missing flat wrench which had different sized square openings along its length. My No. 4 drill & extractor and No. 5 extractor are marked Ridgid. Here is my complete Blue Point extractor set. I had to pull some pieces out of another set to complete it. The sets were sourced from Ridgid and some pieces are even marked Ridgid if you check closely.
A Deco 9/32” drive spinner I used to have.
There is an AT8021 sliding tee in this toolset. Snapmom has one

Not really all that many. I keep finding them around the house too.Out of How many? I have 26 "twisters" and none have duped. so maybe even more

I think my extractor kit might be earlier since it matches the WW2 Navy catalog but I don’t know for sure. The Packard/RR set tools had many different manufacturers. I even have a couple of Barcalo combos with AT correct numbers. I think Snapmom started a thread about the set she has put together. Thanks Don! Mine is a little different inside. Any idea which set is older?
Secondly, thanks for the info about the AT tool kit. Any idea who made the tools for Packard / RR--or did they make them on their own?

I for one, am on the edge of my seat for the reveal!I don't yet know who made them. Hopefully when I knock some of the grease and rust off them a logo will emerge.
A little off topic, but when someone says I/they/anyone has "too many" of some kind of tool, I remember an old fellow that I knew that had a separate hand drill for every size of bit, so he didn't waste time changing bits. He had a whole bench covered in drills and a line of receptacles to plug many in at the same time. I don't recall how many drill presses he had, though, but it was more than just a couple. Why not? I have Uhhh, seven but two are going to be sold! Honest!
Uggggg....
I don't need two DP in my small 2 car garage.....
Biddings is at $59.76 with 3 more days to go....

So what would be a reasonable figure for this DP?

Yes! This x2. I do the same thing. I dont play the ebay price game unless it's a really good deal or something uncommon. 99% of my plomb/proto/craftsman has come from swap meets/garage sales/estate sales and it's usually from the discount bins. You can find tools on a budget but you have to konw where to look and how to save money. And if you find something in budget, you have to hop on it. You can't hem and haw or it will be gone.Only as much as you are happy to pay. I set limits and stick to them - I refuse to get into "Bidding wars".
And this for 5 dollars
Just the box....it was a total of 90The tools AND the box for $5 or "just" the box? Either way, you ****!!
Good eye, LS! A quick (and small) random sample just now showed more Mossberg M-Diamond but there are definitely several Starrett S-Circles. Two of the larger sockets I checked are unmarked. I haven't seen any stars on the hex drive sockets but of the half-dozen I've cleaned so far most have a single dot after the fractional size--just like my score a few weeks ago, albeit with a smaller knerl.I for one, am on the edge of my seat for the reveal!
Two, at least, seem to have S-in-a-circle stamped under the fractional size - a logo that has caused significant consternation and conversation when found under screwdriver handles, on wrenches, etc.
I think Starrett, this time.
The forged hex-drive sockets look by the stamped stars to be Indestro, possibly Bog.
The box…Union? SK?

4th one from the right looks like a match too, just shinier.
