I have to jump start at least 2-3 cars every day multiple times in my line of work and i've been using NOCO products for a while now but they have all either lost potency or randomly stopped turning on, the last one i had was a gbx55 and it just stopped working, does anyone have any product recommendation i could use? i preffer small jump starters cause its much less trouble than carrying a car battery around but any suggestion will be much appreciated.

I've had a WEEGO 70 ( https://myweego.com/product/weego-70/ ) for ~1 year now. I've used it one (count'em,,, one) time and continue to have good expectations. One of my kids left his sub-woofer on for several days in his Tundra V8.

I bought the WEEGO because BoatUS recommended them and I regarded them as credible.

Assuming 220 workdays/year and 3 uses/day you might be going thru as many as 100 discharge/recharge cycles/year. How long have you had the NOCO? Maybe you're doing well.

Heads up, those things are very sensitive to heat. Once I stopped leaving mine in the car they seem to last forever. I know not ideal, since it's not there when you need it, but you might try figuring out a way to keep them from getting hot.

Do you think keeping it in a foam cooler (or similar) would be enough to protect it from the ambient heat in the vehicle?

This is what keeps me from buying one. I live in Las Vegas. The car is always parked outside in the sun. So....for more than half the year, I can't leave it in the car which is exactly where I'd need it. Until they become more resistant to heat, I'll just keep relying on preemptive battery replacement and the roadside assistance feature provided the my auto insurance.

The smaller lithium jump starters are garbage..... especially if you think you'll be able to use them on a regular basis. It's not just NOCO, which, by the way, is probably the BEST brand of the smaller lithium jump starters. All other brands are even shittier. If you're carrying a jump starter just for your own use, in case of emergency.... then buy whatever catches your eye. They will all work at least once or twice, Even the REALLY cheap ones. ALL lithium compact jump starters will eventually let you down. Usually sooner, rather than later. However, if you plan to use it professionally, like a tow truck driver, roadside assistance guy, auction lot attendant, etc, etc.... then the only real choice is the Clore Automotive JNC 660. Yep, they're really big and heavy. But guess what? They work!

I'm certainly not telling anyone what to buy, I'm just telling my opinion of jump starters. Buy whatever you like, or whatever makes you happy. It makes no difference to me....

Just my $0.02

I have a Topdon JS3000. I've only used it 25-30 times so far, but it will start an 6.0 Powerstroke with batteries that are so dead it won't even click with ease.

I got it compliment my JNC660 which can't start most diesels if they are completely dead.

I had a NOCO GB40 go bad, after a jump it swelled up, it still worked by I was afraid that it might catch on fire since the battery was damaged. I contacted NOCO and it was out of warranty so they would not repair it nor sell me the replacement battery. I went to try something new, got the HULKMAN Aplha 85 after seeing some reviews. so far no complaint, seems to be well made.

That brand is garbage. The charging port always wears out within months. You’ll go through at least 3 of those before you kill a Noco.
BS. Go to any car auction and that is what most of the service trucks have and what most dealers use. The manufacturer has been around the longest in that industry. I've had just three in over 20 years and my current one is over 8 years old. I did replace the battery for $50 two years ago. The Nocos are junk if you read the reviews from a few years ago.

Mechanical buff here, I have a Hulkman 85s, I've used it several times and I like how it goes, plus it's not too expensive.

I have a JNC770 that is at least 5 years old now and still works good.

I tried to replace it with a NOCO GBX155 last year, but the NOCO has been nothing but frustration. It seems to have too many protections - sometimes it works great, sometimes not at all. You cannot rely on it.

JNC660 is the correct answer, you can replace the battery for 50 bucks or so when they go bad in 5 years. They ALWAYS work. I have NOCO with various degrees of success
The Clore replacement battery is $203.

Except nobody is going to buy that when an equivalent battery on Ebay or Amazon is $50.

Almost $500 but would need to order, 3-4 months out, estimated.

Huh. Almost worth the $500 for one.

We jump several items a day where I work. We have keytrollers on all of our rolling stock that if you don’t shut them off when your not using them they will drain a battery in 8 or 10 hours. We use the heavy lead acid battery jump packs and they are heavy but work great. I know you can jump 4 or 5 without charging one. I know that is way overkill for the average home owner but these work and when your lead acid battery gets tired you can replace them easily and keep on jumping!!!

Who carries them? See several online, but none will ship it.
I did a quick search and found them available on Amazon, Zoro, and JB Tools.... among several other sites.

JB Tools seemed to have the best deal at $145 and free shipping. I've never ordered from JB Tools so you're on your own with that. They do seem to pop up all the time and they've been around for as long as I can remember. I sure someone from this site has experience with buying from JB Tools.

Zoro has them for $167.99 also with free shipping. Zoro is a real company (part of Graingers, if I'm not mistaken) and I order from them all the time. No need to worry about ordering from Zoro.

I have purchased several JNC660's in the past and the best price I ever paid was $99 bucks on Amazon during Prime Day several years ago.
