I'm interested in seeing the final result. Please post that up when you do it, as I have a few of those in a drawer that could really use a refresh.

It really needs the sign, "In case of an Emergency. Break Glass."
Is that a 1970 Shelby Convertible in the background?Spent a little time at the house, and without any adult supervision decided it was time to install the Holley LED headlamps I got as a birthday present back in August. Was originally going to install them in the 289 FIA replica, but decided to not play musical cars and install them in the 65 Tiger instead.
Original Sylvania headlight on the left, new LED on the right, a noticeable difference running just off the battery
Quick shot a few nights ago, also in the garage, again running just off the battery, bright enough to give a phantom secondary light below the bumper. That, or the car is possessed
They are much brighter than the originals, draw far less power through the Lucas headlight switch. Can't wait to get it out on the road and see how much farther I can see in front of the car. Originals were good for about 40-50 feet at best.
A little rough on the kid just for getting distracted.Co2 pistol.
Scott, I remember my father having a tennis ball on a string hanging from the garage ceiling. When the windshield of the '53 Olds touched the tennis ball he knew the car was three inches from the back wall and three inches from the garage door. He installed it the day after he hit the back wall hard enough to put two oval holes in the drywall. Coincidentally, the holes were punched late Friday night after his weeklyGot the '71 Javelin road race project to the shop. Everything fits with about 6" to spare to close the rollup door.

[I'm not changing a flat tire in the photo. I was just practicing tire changing in the middle of nowhere before we headed west to Alaska for a 75-day tour.]
My parking stop is the opposite and sits on the floor. A friend gave me a foot square piece of aluminum with crossbar to fold club newsletters. Club dissolved so I screwed a 2x2 to it. A couple of short sheet metal screws go through the aluminum the other way and stick out an eighth inch to keep the thing in place on the carpet (master bedroom carpet too nice to throw out). The carpet cuts down on the dirt I bring into the house. The third bay is bare concrete.
A similarly sized piece of 1/4 inch plywood and 2x2 set on one of those glue down carpet squares could do the same job.
The wife had the whip inside the house.A little rough on the kid just for getting distracted.![]()

I get it. I've known people like you. You just couldn't wait to get inside. The wife had the whip inside the house.
I ended up going with ABS. I tried ASA, but I had so many issues with warping. It doesn't take that much compression to hold it in place on the column. Definitely has been a learning curve, but it's been fun. What material did you finalize on for a compressive load like that?

planned to use the 20 year old electric pressure washer to hose them off, but it died after the first one and could not get it to restart.
20 years is a long life. Mine usually go 5 or 6. I've got a GreenWorks 2300 psi electric wonder, that's gotta be at least 7 years old. It's getting a bit rattly n trippy in its old age, but then it's taken some abuse. When it snorts its last, I'll go with the brand again.then planned to use the 20 year old electric pressure washer to hose them off, but it died after the first one and could not get it to restart.
I thought in the Land of Endless Ice N Snow that they covered you for temporary disability when you're outta work for surgical recovery.sure missing a paycheck though!

So about $79.13 in freedom bucks. Which is about what Workers Comp pays here in the Vampire State. You gotta hope there's a second income in the house, or you wind up selling everything just to live in a cardboard box under a railroad overpass.ain’t nothing like my usual paychecks, sheesh it’s been almost 15 years since I last received a every two weeks paycheck.
Canadian Medical EI is 670 a week, paid out biweekly. There’s a little bit of a wait to get the first one usually.
It doesn't have one. It has been dying a slow death for a couple of years. Time for a new one.Is it's GFIC tripping? Sometimes its just tarnish on the plug prongs setting it off.
Thanks. I saw a lot of models for that brand listed on the box store websites, but did not know if they were worth considering. I may give them a try, can't be worse than what I have now.20 years is a long life. Mine usually go 5 or 6. I've got a GreenWorks 2300 psi electric wonder, that's gotta be at least 7 years old. I once knew someone who desperately wanted to buy a brand new black car because it wouldn't show the dirt. I tried to 'splain...Washed and waxed the Cougar, pulled the battery cable and parked it for the season. I drive it up to the first time it snows each season. It snowed this week, so it's done for the year.
It was already clean a couple weeks ago, but I had to leave it in the driveway for a couple hours that day, and a freak storm rolled in and got it all dirty and covered in spots. Black cars... if you know, you know...
Finally I was able to get you some!Pics of surgery and hole.![]()
