Here's an example: Our warranty replacement for our air dryer is sitting in Hermiston, OR. It's been there for five days now. Why? Fed Ex freight comes out here once a week. Period. No discussion.

We experienced the same problem when we replaced our boiler last spring. It sat in La Grande, OR for six days, having arrived at the shipper ten minutes after the freight left for our corner of the boonies.
Can you go get it?

I stumbled into the fact that Snap-on removed all body hammers (except one) from their website. I panicked and stocked up on replacement handles fearing a design change or worse. It’s probably just a website glitch or temporary supply chain issue or something, I have seen it happen with other products, but I’m not taking any chances!

There have been discussion forever that they have discontinued them and similar amount of discussion that they are bringing them back. Last year was the same, no hammers in the autumn apart from 1-2 shrinking hammer models. But they appeared back around February/March 2025. So I am hoping they will be back again in early 2026. Maybe they just do one production run every year.

Or Snap On's VP of Hammers has figured out the pattern to manipulate the paranoid to boost sales!

In Philly, Amazon delivers till around 9:00PM andI I once got a package around 8:58PM.
I'm due East of you, at the ocean's edge.... Amazon delivers 24/7 + Sundays and Holidays. Except Xmas. I've gotten packages every Easter and MOST Thanksgivings (randomly without trying)... Now I make an effort to employ the delivery people on said holidays.

On the topic of needing new handles. This was covered in black tape. New to me Fairmount 152-G reverse curve hammer. Longer reach head than a BF615.

Another Lidl air tool. A needle scaler in case I need one.

And this set finally showed up from my Snap-on order 4 weeks ago.

It was suggested to me that making a new Hammer handle is a really good first woodworking project. After you get the rough shape, you can mostly refine it just using a shintoe rasp. I've made a couple Hammer handles.

Effort to or not to?!

I do wish these employers stop crushing the concept of the weekend. OTOH, sure, gives some workers time during the week to do errands to businesses with M-F 9-5 hours. Danged if I know.

According to my SO dealer they will be bringing the body hammers back - I will believe it when I see it.

I had a set in my bodyman days before the Navy.

Left them with my Father.

40 years later he is gone, we bought the estate and moved back home - I still haven't come across those hammers and dollies.

I bought one Snap On pick hammer off eBay and I just ordered a Martin 165G long handled pick hammer from JB Tools.

Capri wrench extender / cheater bar came in today from Amazon.

To be honest, when I first saw these I thought they were kinda gimmicky. But a couple days ago I was doing the old one wrench on another trick and it slipped out on me.

Got mad and ordered one of these.

First impression is it’s heavy as hell. A lot more beefier than I was expecting for $20.

Time will tell but for now, I am pleased with it.

I jumped on the Garage Journal/Innova promo deal from the deals thread and got my scanner in this morning. Innova reached out to let me know my promotional items would be on the way.

Unfortunately whatever is causing the slip indicator light on my Tacoma to stay on is not throwing a code, but the scanner seems nice!

I had exactly that same thought when I got my mueller kueps. Incredibly Stout and incredibly heavy. And it astounds me how well it actually holds the wrench. I had no idea.

With mine it annoys me that it does not list the country of origin and I bought it specifically because I assumed it was made in Germany, but man when you need it you really like it.

Milwaukee 8 in 1 stubby from Home Depot, because all my tools are in storage currently.
I have a couple of those. I was out of town and I was trying to take something apart in a really really confined area. Had to shove my hand in a small drawer and undo some screws that were really tight and hard to reach with limited areas and this little guy just got in there and did a fabulous job. And it didn't help that they were old screws and they were flatheads. When I got them out. I replaced them with Philips, but that little guy worked great.....

Ok, some SOB posted a deal on this board for $50 so I picked up a set. This makes my 6th set of metric wrench I have so I really didn’t need them but it is nice having two sets of wrenches in each box in different locations.

IMG_1689.jpeg
Do they sell the 9mm separate? I can't stand skip sets. But for $50... I'd do it.

Edit : CORRECTION P&C N87
P&G N87 offset
1-1/4 x 1-5/16

Can't find much online about it. Google AI suggests that P&G could stand for Proto and Gedore. I suppose It could maybe be possible as the way the box ends are machined does sort resemble box ends on older Gedore but nothing else does,so I don't know. Not the offset angle , nor the way the beam shapes as it offset and also not the beam itself. It looks crudely made from round bar that was bent and stamped with markings afterwards.

Maybe someone has insight ?

Autozone Duralast button disconnecter tool for fuel, evap, and DEF lines. Looks identical to the VIM version. I could see it being useful in some applications. Here's a link to how it works:

Also, a extendable mirror for checking on hard to see u-joint bolts on the big truck I drive out here.20251019_180943.jpg

I'm no soothsayer but odds are good someday you'll use that disconnect tool and need that mirror at the same time! That's today's vehicles for ya.

Many thanks. I figured that Google AI isn't quite up to scratch yet I see people often quote the the AI text as absolute.

Funny thing is that , the imagine search yielded not much , but now that you've responded and said it's P&C now I'm getting results.
