Anybody else use these trays?

No, but I ordered some from the jungle. I've got a couple drawers to try and organize...air tool fittings/pipe fittings, random small parts and pieces, electrical stuff, etc....

I might spend some time over the coming holiday to start on it. I gotta finish my ratchet holders first though.

Worked on the Mustang for about one hour each yesterday & Saturday. I installed the front spoiler on the front valance & installed the valance on the car. I also adjusted the hood so I could install the hood pin kit I purchased a while back but never installed. I needed to get the hood adjustment right before drilling the holes in the radiator support for the pins.

First freezing rain and icy roads of the season this AM. Driving on my balding summer tires wasn't too bad as the road from the cabin to the brewery is flat.

Now I'm debating changing to my studs or waiting another couple of days 'til the rims for my new, studless, snow tires show up. I don't want to have to change tires twice in one week.

Nice. I like the different colors too. They look to be the same basic shape as the Dollar Tree ones with one exception. The Dollar Tree trays have two different sizes of the long trays. You can see the difference in my pics. Of course the Dollar Tree trays are designed for kitchen utensil use.

Put a new fan belt on the Fergie. Noticed the 2 rear tires needed air. Then I noticed ballast leaking around both valves. Not a lot, but enough.

That pisses me off, as I paid a good price a couple years ago, for some good used tires, and to have them installed.

Anyway, I packed it with black permatex, hopefully stops it up. So far, so good.

Look through the last week or two of posts in this thread. Someone else just had to replace a rim due to the corrosion caused by the ballast in his tractor tires.

In Phx. with friends for the holiday. Hung a couple pictures & prepped a turkey in the garage sink for the Treager. Pulled back the skin and liberal amount of Townes Candian steak seasoning. I know that doesn't sound like the correct spice, but it comes out very savory.

Yeah he replaced the rim on one side when he put the tires on.

The other rim is hanging in there, sanded off the rust and painted it last year.

My chop saw trigger quit working, I had to press/hold it just right for the motor to kick in before it finally quit. I took it apart and noticed the momentary switch was grungy looking. Took it apart and hit it with a sanding block to get it shiny. Put it back together and now it fires up every time.

I also installed a switch for a couple of outdoor outlets, now I don't have to go outside to unplug my Xmas lights each night. 20251123_103322.jpg

Put a timer switch on that…you’ll thank me later. For 20 bucks you can get a good one and program it for different times each or all the same…whatever.

I bought these a little bit ago: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CNRMSCXX?tag=atomicindus08-20 The sizes may be more conducive to your needs?

Glued up a bunch of face frames for the kitchen cabinet build for the daughter and SIL. I hope to have carcasses assembled and everything ready for paint by the end of the week. Alas, with the holiday it will likely be mid next week...

Let me refer you to this post:

Airless Paint Sprayer

For paint, I have had fantastic results from Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel. It's self leveling properties are amazing.

Cleaned up the shop. Made a new mess in the shop. Sharpened a LOT of knives. Filled and distributed salt buckets for icy walks.

I need to make a dust hood for the knife sharpening as outdoor sharpening season is about over. I think a large pancake fan, some cardboard and a furnace filter should do it. I could use the shop vac, but damn that thing is loud. 8" pancake fan ordered.

Picked up some more of those $1.50 black trays from the Dollar Tree Store and proceeded to organize the 52" USG tool box in the office. Mostly storing the new wood working tools plus plyers and electrical tools.

I found I could actually stack the trays two high if I needed to and still close the taller top drawer. All the shallow drawers allow for 1 high (1st Pic) Note: the trays will slip under the lip of the drawer sides.

This is not my main mechanics tool box, so I don't need to use any special socket or wrench tool holders in it.

Anybody else use these trays?

I bought the same ones as @zanyad. Got them late last year and haven't done a lot with them yet. They appear to be pretty good.

I'll second the timer. I have all kinds of outside stuff on timers. It's so nice not having to trudge across the tundra, or through the rainforest to fiddle with ****.

Got work bike prepped last night, and rode to work today. Ride in was good. Had the heated gear rockin'. Ride home was a whole lot of dumb. Dude on a R1 came up behind me at the construction light. Took off up the grade, and after a few turns he was still behind me so I waved him past. He had a passenger, and they were both in street clothes. He proceeded to wheelie at every straight, and started doing sketchy passes on the many cars ahead. Was hoping I wouldn't find them scattered across the road.

The bike will be parked until after the holiday. Might go for a ride on Black Friday while everyone is out shopping.

I took apart a 1997 Waverunner so I could get in there and do an R@R on the midshaft housing that was leaking. Then I pulled apart the carb rack........it had NEVER been apart! You can see how the paint chips off around the screw heads when they've been opened up. I found slightly deformed diaphragms but they weren't crispy......and they were pretty clean too. Not to shabby for a set of 28 year old carbs!!

Can't believe T-day is 3-4 days off!

putting stuff away, mini projects to that end; one of today's was replace a brittle crumbling cord on a piano lamp I'd picked up in the last year. needs a T8 - E12 bulb - I'll wait til we know where we want it to order that. I have a black one on top of the wood tool box on my inside workbench.

The victim before:

Rechecked my brakes, no leaks found. So that job is done.

Cleaned up, put things away, flung things that needed flinging.

Finished the small engine stuff. Oil changes, run carbs empty, put away for the winter.

Using my new Vevor air jack on the Dakota, the included spacer is too long to be used where I like to lift the front. But without, it’s just a little too short to get the jackstands where I want them. So, I made it shorter.
