Man I hate plumbing, I used the hose bib on the back of the house, well apparently it froze and now I got water going down the wall in the finished basement, got the water sut off at least for now. I also lost ac in the shop, the installer is coming to check that out Thursday. Need to get the shop cleaned up, my wife got volunteered to host a wedding shower…. I’m not sure what I’ll do with myself with my hideout being used haha

last weekend went up north to the in-laws cabin for a wedding ( wife’s cousin) came back Sunday to miss traffic and brought his m100 bobcat back with me used my trailer( more on that later). I’m lucky to have awesome in-laws that live next door that let me use equipment. ( I usally run it for him)

With the m100 I was able to dig out my rear entry to the shop. It is the one that is on the same level as the house. IMG_6815.jpeg

I was going to build a “cheap” wood retaining wall well I went up there with the trailer that just did 4 hour each way up north trip to haul said wood, and had smoke coming from the bearings…. And the price of wood we have decided to just get retaining wall block. I guess it’s good the bearings went out on the 6 mi trip to Menards.. it wouldn’t be me doing dirt work on this project with out taking out our internet. IMG_6817.jpeg

Tonight I got new push rods in the mud truck and ran it shorty. Just need to do the rest of the maintenance and it’s good to go on the 13th

Oh no problem, it was a pallet of tounge and grove pine we bought up north Mn, we had it for the ceiling on our front porch. My wife took what we had left and stained it 5 different colors, and we put it up “ random “ I cut each piece. It took some time but turned out awesome

A little update as I lay in London not sleeping. Before we left Tuesday I got the wall project wrapped up for winter. Going to seed it when I get back. Pavers will probably be next spring. IMG_6975.jpeg
I also got the fire ring in the ground and the rough fill moved. Tuesday before the flight left I mowed and moved boulders for the wall on the fire ring project hopping to make myself sleep all the way to London ( it was a bad plan, didn’t sleep at all) but progress was made

now that I’ve been home for a day from the London trip, I can share some pics. It was a good time but man there is so many people. I discovered that 9 hrs is over my tolerance for being on an airplane, especially with the sinus infection I came home with yesterday.

This weekend was the first one I felt good enough to get out and work on projects the joys of flying…. Started on cleaning out the house garage to get the 77 and 94 in there for winter. Moved the motorcycle lift from the house garage to the shop. Need to get the shadow put back together to sell in the spring. Fixed the exhaust on the father in laws superduty, the studs broke off where the tail pipe meets the after treatment.

Spent some time in the shop working on replacing my purge valve on the air compressor. I bought one that runs on a timer and plugs into the wall and it leaked from the beginning. So I installed a product we carry at my work. It’s an expello valve, made right in Mn in Minneapolis. It runs off air pressure from the shut off valve. Plus it’s default is closed. IMG_7343.jpeg

Then I got distracted by the tv, looked to see when f1 is on, and it got to watching new zelaland jet sprint boat racing, it’s crazy…. IMG_7345.jpeg

Now I need to get my shelf installed to put it up. I did get the blower on the old John Deere today too. Need to buy chains though. IMG_7349.jpeg

Looks like that winning bet was printed on thermal paper. In my experience, thermal paper can easily fail. May want to scan that before it deteriorates too far.

Friday, I was in the cities for a work meeting, and got the call from my wife that the garage was full of smoke from the air compressor…. Apparently the valve on the top with a pull on it was stuck open, and we weren’t down there for a few days. So to compressor ran non stop and got hot and was burning the oil out of it…. This pic don’t show how really Smokey it was IMG_7381.png

She was down there to show the garage door guy what’s up with the openers, made me feel
Like Tim the tool man when my wife called a contractor, but she wants the doors working right with out me messing with them all the time……
So I spent most of my time cleaning up so he will be able to get his lift in there. I did Finnish my shelves for my collection that gets moved to the garage…

My compressor did that a while back when I plumbed in my air system. Luckily I caught it pretty quick with my garage cam and was able to get my neighbor to stop in and unplug the compressor before any damage occured. Funny thig was the only reason I caught it was because i had a motion alert in the shop, which was my wife leaving the house and I was trying to harass her from the shop cam when I heard it running.
