I've picked up the following over the past week. I'm new to this site and I'm confident in saying that I've become somewhat of a tool addict of late.

1.) Craftsman Professional combination wrench set SAE
2.) Craftsman Professional combination wrench set Metric
3.) Wright Tools 3/8" Drive Set #346 (32 piece)
4/5.) Mac Tools 3/8" flex head ratchet XR11FPA & Cornwell Tools 1/4" flex head ratchet TRF4H

I bought the combo wrenches new from my local Sears. I found out about these wrenches here and have heard about how they are such a great buy. When I saw both sets available (last ones) I couldn't pass them up. I got the Wright set at a local estate sale (brand new). I gave $50 for it. The ratchets I found at a garage sale last weekend. I gave $10 a piece for them.

I'm glad to have found this site and I hope to post more of my purchases in this thread.

Drew

Got this Kamasa 3/8 metric set + extra swiveling handle a few days ago. 110 € incl 20% VAT. Kamasa is a swedish brand, now sold in most northern Europe countries. I guess it's produced in Asia. Decent quality/price ratio though. Nowadays brands are plenty but back in the old days Kamasa was kind of the second choice for professionals in Sweden. If you didn't have the bucks for Bacho you went for Kamasa. I had a similar set that was stolen some years ago. That one had composite ratchet handle, the steel handle in the new set is not as nice but I can live with that.

Been wanting to grab those low profiles. How do you like them so far?

Rhodes,

Couldn't tell ya, haven't seen a bolt yet, Canuckian would be a great source! Even though he polishes tools just like me, he would have better knowledge, he has the 1/4 and 3/8 sets and has used them a bunch!

William, William, William....when are you goijng to learn the difference between clean tools and polished tools??? lol.

I really like the low profile sets. Though a little on the pricey side off the truck they can usually be had for around 50% of retail on Ebay, classifieds, etc. In fact my SAE 1/4 set came from GJ member Hiball. I find they come in handy on my motorycle and I use them for interior work as well. the SAE set came with a 1/4 bit adapter so it makes a great low profile bit ratchet as well.

Whats that above the logo?....and how much?

It's a little magnified window where you can read the tire pressure. Came with a calibration certificate which I thout was kinda neat. Made in the US as well -or so the package says. Here's a crappy pic of the gauge

Hate the "how much" question as it reminds me that i probably overspent lol but what the hell......Not sure what the retail is in the US but they're a tick over $100 here. I got it for a little less than that. I've never had what one would call a "good" pressure gauge so when I saw it on the truck I said "what the hell". The other item I had ordered wasn't in yet so I had to spend the money on something! Rationalization is a dangerous thing on a tool truck! He had a new Epiq tool box on there as well. Good thing it wasn't orange! I'd have to sleep in my unheated garage for that kind of impulse buy!

Real nice. Once I started buying SO I quickly got over the shame of overspending. I get what I pay for and really don't care for much else anymore. Now even the smallest things are a "tick"over $100! Real nice gauge though. Just asked cause now I'm interested. I always lose those and bet I wouldn't if I spent $100 on it.

Finally bought a set of ratcheting open-end wrenches - just made 4 sets of regular wrenches obsolete!

And a WARN PullZall Winch. 120V handheld. Perfect for pulling cars into the shop, onto the lift and.....I'm sure I'll find more uses for it!:bounce:
