Ordered 2 ladders....my store has 60 total it says. I have to believe those will all be spoken for by tomorrow...man I'd be pissed if I showed up at the store hoping for a ladder and they're all set aside for online orders!

Looks like Lowes and others are blowing out the NiCd battery powered drills/drivers. Be careful if you're really wanting Li-ion.

Got my Lowe's Black Friday shopping done.. will hit the Home Depot in the morning for the 13 foot ladder $54 and some low dollar trinkets. I think the coast headlamp is a screaming deal at HD and may get an extra one to throw in my Secret Santa's box. You can never have enough flashlights.

How so? I thought black Friday shopping happens on Black Friday?

I'm thinking I'll be at Sears early tomorrow to score some tools. The 20pc gear wrench set is tempting. It's not flex head but I can probably sell off the SAE stuff here since I'll never use it and then buy flex heads. That and a drill, a regular Ni-Cad will suffice for me(for now)

Which is the better vac? Rigid for $50 or Shop vac for $30?
imho, the Ridgid. But I'd say maybe wait to see if it becomes a BF DoorBuster. Last year it was $30 on BF.

Many retailers kicked off their deals last night and today online. Not that I'm compaining! Beats having to stay up until 5/6am on Friday like I used to do.

Be careful on the Home Depot site today. I just tried to order the holesaw kit and it was $39.99 the whole way through until I added my address. It then changed to normal price ($79.99). Check your prices before you click the final submit!

Steve

I tried to add it to my cart and it gave me this: This item is no longer available online.

Figures! That's really the only BF deal I really wanted.

I picked up the Shop Vac and the Werner platform last night without issue. Both items on the same bill, charged to my CC with email confirmation.

Tell me about it, same thing with the NiCad drill for $40 tomorrow, it's $50 or something today.....

getting up early is probably not worth the $20.

I have the Rigid shop vac, but beware if there isn't a HD nearby, Lowe's rapes you on the filters. I needed to have one and had to pay a premium to get a Rigid filter from Lowe's (no HD in the area at the time).

Other then that the Rigid has worked fine going on 10 years now.

Is the ShopVac unit that much worse than the Rigid? May need to cancel my order at Lowe's if so-- like another poster said in the Hot Deals thread, I thought they were a good name? I didn't expect the top of the line unit for $29 but it does have a 3 year warranty.

Any leads or ideas on where to look for black Friday online deals on multi-tools? I have the wingman but am looking for something else.

Yup. Usually they have it in a cage at the front of the store, but who knows where it will be now.

Depends. The Ridgid has more capacity, longer cord, wider hose. But it's also more expensive.

Don't forget that there's also a Craftsman 12-gallon on sale tomorrow. That one has a longer cord and even wider hose.

Just got back from Sears...it was crazy but not too bad. My store had each dept assigned to an entry door. Got in and out within 30mins with everything I wanted. Gearwrenches went FAST!

Anybody know why the Sears site won't apply the free shipping code "realjoy"? Doesn't seem to work for tools...

Sears wouldn't take an order online for the stuff I wanted, so I didn't order anything.

One of my nephews called and asked is I want to ride in to Sears - no thank you.

He's going with a couple of friends.

He just sent me a text, he scored the few items I wanted and is bringing them over this afternoon.

3 piece CMan Pro vise grip set
20 piece Gearwrench set
12 piece nut driver set in a zip bag
Maxx Axxess set of thru sockets
Also picked up a freebie tool bag for me

My other nephew hit Lowes about a half hour ago, he was second in the door. He scored me a set of crosshandle combination wrenches and picked up a 299 piece Kobalt tool set in a case ($99)

I ordered a set of metric and SAE flex Gearwrench from True Value, same price as Sears website ($29) and their website took the order just fine.

So, I didn't leave the house

BF ain't all bad :D

I used the "realjoy" promo code for shipping Sears tools free at 7:10 am just fine.

Just a note that on the Sears site I had to have the tools shipped. They would not do order online and store pickup due to "limited quantity at the store."

It will be interesting to hear of the Lowes ladders and if they will honor all of the online amounts ordered.

Have a great day!!

I'm trying to order a couple 30 inch gladiator cabs for $99. I see the promo for that for them if ordered between 4 AM and 1 PM. But, when I go to the website, they're $159.

So far I can't get Sears to honor the $99.99 price on the 30" Gladiator wall storage unit. Comes up as $159.99. It's the ONE thing I wanted - two of them actually - and the only item I've found that doesn't come up at the advertised price. Online "Chat" with Sears says available in store only. Bummer.

Just got back from Home Depot. Went in around 7:15 AM. It was pretty empty. I think I got the last hole saw kit. I think one of the best deals they have is the Irwin clamps. They have a set of 4 6" quick clamps for $13.88. I got 3 sets. At $3.50 a clamp that is a deal in my opinion. They also have an 8 piece set for $25.00 but that set was less useful for what I do. Also picked up a shockwave impact 22 piece driver kit for $9.98. Overall happy with what I was able to get.

Was that $99 price in the Sears flyer? Or was it an online price you saw earlier but is now removed?

Thanks!
