My new KRSC46 arrived a couple days ago and I love this thing! I have a full KRL722 with full craftsman boxes stacked on top, and was using a packed 5 drawer HF cart. I wanted more cart space before having to add on to my main box. Now I can have my diagnostic stuff at every car along with my most used hand tools. Here she is...

Do you mind posting some detailed pics of the top storage area? I'm thinking about getting one for myself as a main box!

Here is the top compartment. For reference, the back left green handle is a 36" prybar.

That bottom drawer is pretty much a random junk drawer for now.

The side storage for the screwdrivers and prybars. Do they come with slots for them.

What do you mean by slots? They just have different sized holes. The ONLY complaint I have about the cart is I wish there were more smaller holes. Anything stored there needs a decent sized handle to keep from falling through.

Is the Snap-On cart any better than the HF cart? Or are they about the same?

LOL. I can't say anything bad about the HF cart since it was $140 and served me well for like a year. This cart, however, is so much better it's ridiculous. It's fine if people don't want to spend the money on a Snap-on box/cart, but those who say HF boxes are comparable are delusional.

How about some grommets to reduce the size?

That's an option, but then it would be a waste of space since they'd be so far apart. I'm fine with just keeping the smaller stuff in a drawer.

Interesting, very interesting, I was under the impression that the HF cart was just as good from what I've read of course that comparison was made by people that probably didn't own a Snap-on cart so I would put more faith in you opinion as you have owned both.

Yeah the black was in stock so it only took a week. My main box is bright yellow so i figured I'd keep things simple with the cart. My buddy ordered a green one 5 weeks ago and he's still waiting. What color did you go for?

that looks awesome, and 40inches wide is a big cart! I bet that has more room than most peoples toolboxes on here.

Hahaha.

I too LMAO when folks call these things "carts."

C'mon. it's a 40" lift lid roll cab, Snap-On. If it's 28" or 30" wide , that's mobile cart territory.

I had a co-worker use one of these as a main box for years as it worked as a cart in a pinch , or was at least easier to park than a 56" main box, but load that "cart" up and it's the same as a roll cab.

Built like a tank and worth the cash if you plan on keeping it tho.
Not easy to push around packed full and find space for in a large tight-spaced assembly plant tho. :(

Looks like you have all your tools in your cart. What could be left in your main toolbox?

All my SAE tools, metric stuff I don't use as much, more air tools, wiring stuff, specialty tools and testers, random ****, etc. I'm in a pretty big shop so I want to limit my trips to the main box, and there's plenty of room to push the "cart" around. Although it's much bigger and heavier than the HF cart, especially with more tool capacity, it's very easy to roll around.

Can you put your prybars or large screwdrivers in the slots on the side of the cart? The reason I ask is i have the hf. 5draw cart and I can't fit any of my snapon pry bars except the smallest one. The top compartment isn't deep enough so the lid wont close right. Same thing with my large screwdrivers. Im looking to upgrade to a 46 or maybe a cornwell 800 so let me know what you find out please thanks

Yes, the picture of the top compartment shows my Snap-on prybars on the left side, including the 36". The biggest prybar I could fit in the HF cart sides was the 8" due to handle size.

Does it come with drawer liner?

Yes, and they appear to be the same high quality liners as my KRL box.

My color isn't for everybody but I ordered mine in deep purple :rocker: . I dig oddball colors. I thought about black as my main Craftsman box is black but when I get around to ordering a new main box I'll probably go with cranberry or something like that, I don't care about matching things, I drive my SO driver crazy because I don't get the same color handled tools. :willy_nil

Nice cart, I am glad and respect you for buying U.S.A.! If we can produce more then price will come down. They will outlast HF too and sustain value.

This thing is huge! It is sitting in front of my strickly toolboxes 56 inch combo! It did free up some space so I hope I wont have to buy a new box for a couple years! (I really want to, but I dont want to have that conversation with the wife!)
