First off, thank you so much ss! Very cool gift! I think its totally awesome that you made this piston clock yourself with the lathe to make it fit. My family agrees, its very special. I enjoyed reading your letter and i will put the tools to great use! I was out of zip ties so these are perfect! I've always wanted these ratcheting clamps too! I think I'll put the Snowmobile keys on my new oil can keychain. Thanks again and merry Christmas, you did a great job. Btw, are you on pwctoday.com? Great standup forum you should be a member of.

As i mentioned earlier, my package made the trip form Canada. I opened it up it was from Paul aka Canuckian. I would say the screen name and the location aptly fit the bill.

Paul was kind enough to send me a set of felo screw drivers and torx drivers. In addition, he hooked me up w/ a Canadian made Picquic multi blade screw driver. Push out bit design which is pretty damn neat.

Lastly, i was sent another piece of Canada- an ornament of Tim Bits. I had to google what a tim bit is, and they are little doughnut hole snacks. So next christmas my tree will have some foreign flair to it!

Thanks a lot Paul

Mike

you're quite welcome Mike! Glad you enjoyed the gifts! Reading through your posts, it seemed like you weren't lacking in the tool department whatsoever but seeing as you work on German cars, I figured some German made screwdrivers would be fitting. As for the rest, I figured a little Canadian content would be appropriate. Beer was too expensive to ship so you got a Picquic and a tree ornament  . There was one item I had ordered and intended on putting in with your package but it didn't get here in time to meet the deadline so it's now enroute to you. It may take a week or 2 to get there but it's coming nevertheless.
I hope you and yours had a great Christmas!! xmas

Merry Christmas everyone! I opened my box this morning and was surprised by what I found. I used to do a SS on a hotwheels forum but it hasn't been done for a couple years, so when my wife saw the contents she looked at me, puzzled, "You did the Hot Wheels one too!" LOL
No hun, my Secret Santa on the garage journal knows me too LOL

Thanks very much Lithdoc!

When my wife Kim showed me the mail yesterday, she said "you are not going to believe who your Secret Santa is, Jabberwoki". See, Steve and I, have exchanged old forged items for some time now, so I couldn't have asked for a better Secret Santa and the gifts are right down my alley.

I received a 40 plus year old 6 oz. Fairmont Ball pein hammer complete with a nice old tight grain Hickory handle and a Fairmont 150-G body hammer head.

Thanks again Mate (Jabberwoki)

Thanks so much for the body work tools. These are the first ones I've owned and appreciate that they are well used. They have a history and a feel that new tools just don't have.

Thanks again and Merry Christmas to all!

I saved my gift for the final one of the day. My santa was "CRTDI".

I open some nice treats and a great snap-on socket driver. This will work out great as I actually don't own one! I love the size.

Thanks David, I will put it to use right away! :):)

Thought I would also share my present to my wife, She's the worlds biggest NASCAR 48 fan......

Mine came in from Franzdom and I couldn't be happier. A great new ratcheting screwdriver and a pocket screwdriver as well. Not sure if the pocket driver was just thrown in because it was in with the full size driver but its perfect for replacing one that I had for a long time and broke. So on purpose or not, very happy with both gifts. Thanks everyone and especially my SS.:bounce:

Funny side note, my gift came from Amazon and it was wrapped. I didn't know who it was from until I unwrapped it because the gift tag was on the package. Then the wrapping paper put on top. :lol_hitti

Adam

Hi Adam,

Thank you very much for the post, I am glad it hit it on the head. I saw that you had broken a miniature pocket driver and included that, in fact it was inspiration for the ratcheting driver. I really got you with the Amazon box I guess, because I remember you posted that your SS had gotten you something from Amazon and it could be just about anything but that ended up being a red herring because you can't get those Snap-on screwdrivers from Amazon :)

I haven't had a chance to take a picture of my SS gift yet but it is my first Felo driver set, a torx set from stonesfan68. It is perfect, made in Germany which I adore and I have been wanting to check out the Felo stuff, thank you so much!!! I owe you guys a picture but I really wanted to post anyway, so that will have to come later.

This has been really fun, thanks everybody!

The 1/2 inch Proto will team up with my 3/8 proto that my father gave me! The fine tooth Bonney& SK adapter will get a work out! My wife has already used the hammer to hang something? in the dinning room!! Thanks again, this is great! I've got to learn how to post pictures, every time, I try, I get a message unable to download??

I'm glad you liked them, you seem like a guy who has everything, so I was unsure how to approach it. As I said in the letter, I really liked that hammer. :)

I opened my AWESOME package of Peterson goodness from DeWitt, Nebraska from my SS tool_scrounge. He must be a good scrounge because I haven't seen this many genuine Vise Grips in any pawn around here.

I also got a vintage Champion Spark Plug gapper as well as a vintage RAC compression tester which will come in handy checking engines at the salvage yard or used vehicles.

dscn01561.jpg

I am glad you like the vise grips. I am a big fan of them myself. Unfortunately the originals get harder to find as time goes by. Hopefully they are of use on your welding projects.

My Secret Santa out of Winston-Salem was very generous. I received two Ernst 16 wrench organizers, a Klein multi-bit screwdriver, a General automatic center punch, and a Mercedes-Benz hat & calendar. The hat is really nice and even fits my big head! Many thanks for the really nice Secret Santa package. I'll post pictures later. Now to check the packing closely and see if there is a name (other than S Santa on the return address label) associated with the box.

Thanks again!
