What size sockets, and are they the kind with the rubber insert or a magnet?

I bought one anyways. Yep all duplicates of what I already have but the ratchet is nice and for the price can't be beat.

I promised myself never to buy another ratchet with a floppy (aka non-locking) handle but I am tempted. Can you tighten the floppynes?? I do wish HF or Lowes would bring out a locking flex ratchet in that price range.

I planned on picking up one of these sets for the BIL's birthday. I tinkered around with one of the open ratchets and decided to pick up two sets of these with a few other items. Since the total came out around $60, I also got the chance to use the $10 off $50 coupon :D. The ratchet is surprisingly nice.

Here is a pick of the 5/8" socket.

Just picked a set up today not bad for the price. It has a through bolt that attatches the head to the handle. Noticed they sell a simliar ratchet same length, 72 teeth but it has detents. It retails for 29.99 just for the ratchet. It must be the one they will exchange for warran

A year or so ago I took in a Williams era ratchet for warranty. The Williams era rat was a standard length, non-flex, 3/8" model, but they did not have an equivalent model in stock. They told me to come back in 2-3 days and they should have it in stock. Without being a **** I explained to them that I needed a ratchet today and would be happy to pay the difference, but the manager told me to "just take it. At first I wasn't really all that enthused at first being Taiwan made and all and still felt I'd somehow been cheated in the grand scheme of things. After getting it home and using it I admit I was impressed with the quality and performance. After a year of use it's still a great ratchet and while I'm still not crazy about seeing "Taiwan" all the time, it is a great ratchet.

That's too bad. I never seem to have luck with the rubber inserts. They have come out of every socket I ever owned that had them. I've had much better experiences with the magnetic kind.

I'll bet the ratchet is pretty nice, though. I like my regular 72T Kobalt ratchets.

I won't know if they work until I try them out but I didn't buy it for the sockets anyway. The ratchet is indeed nice, has a ball and spring detent for the flex joint with a T15 torx screw for the pivot. Snaps into each position nicely. The extension even has knurling in just the right place.

The head is identical to a HF unit I have. IMHO this is a good deal for a starter or backup.

Mine was in the lawn mower section at my store :/

They're still available at least at the zanesville Ohio location. Very nice ratchet. Just got it. Just a hare longer then my mac 11" ratchet. Wish it locked though. This makes it my longest ratchet besides my extendable. But I do wish it locked. Buy I also don't care for that price!

Never had any kobalt ratchets. Do think that one is as strong/durable as a Craftsman flexhead?

I have several Kobalt ratchets. They are very nice for the price.

I just ordered this set, mainly for the ratchet. I have dozens of extensions and spark plug sockets...

I bought a craftsman flex head ratchet over the holidays. I bought it for a gift exchange then tried (and succeeded) at "winning" it. I did it only because i had no tools i really needed.
I have simply loved it.
I never would have imagined that it would be so useful. I am going to lowes tomorrow for this to add to one of my tool bags.
