Wow, this is quite the build, just seeing this now for the first time. Very impressive!

Thanks. I'm also very glad with the result...but still a lot to do on furniture and equipment.

More pics soon of the of rest of the garage.

Appreciate the update. This is one of my favorite threads.

Thanks.

I still have several pics to post os the rest of the garage, atelier, machine shop and other interesting details.

All my "things" are also packed. Can´t wait to put them in their places.
I also have several machines ordered and lots of them to restore.

Stuff for a long time thread.

A photo from a different angle...
You can see the dirt/machine shop with the doors open and the passage to the garage used for daily cars.

If you look closer (very close ;)) you can find my car lift...

By far the coolest thing i've ever seen. Very jealous. So you come down that ramp from outside and then park where that car is in the picture? I've got a hard time visualizing the space.

And before restauration (by the previous owner) when it was stored in a barn.

This car has lots of history. It was a car that belonged the Lancashire Police. I love it. It's only a pity i had to change the licence plate to a portuguese one in order to circulate in portuguese roads

A little bit offtopic but... maybe i will open a thread just to talk about this car history. More than the cars themselfs i like their past...

Jorge

My father used to race an MGC that was previously a Lancashire Police car too. Small world.

I would love a TA to add to the collection.

If you are ever after any parts, certainly give us a call.

When you are an old man you can clean out your garage and rent parking spaces to your neighbors. As big and secure as it is you would have a comfortable retirement. I think I found your lift. Or may be not. Can you post a picture of it raised up?

Yes, you are right. That passage is one of the things that i like most. But i also have a second way out to the back.

I'll take some pictures of the passage to post later...

My car lift brand is OMCN. An italian brand with very good quality.
I applied the same floor tile on the ramps and painted the sides of the ramps on dark gray. That way when not in use you almost don't notice it is there.
I already ordered another equipment to the lift that allows you to lift the car under the chassis, leaving the wheels free. It's not the same as a 2 post lift, but does almost the same effect. And i really don't like to see the 2 posts permanent on the garage.

Here goes some photos

On this pic you can see better the tile on the ramps

And totally risesed...

One funny thing, when a car is on the lift totally rise, on the upper floor where is my atelier, you can see the car almost at the same level.

Your Triumph seems to be the exact color of the TR4 I had in college in the mid60s, Jorge.

Wow! Amazing looking garage space! Very stylish!

The hidden lift is very nice and very cleanly installed.

Maybe you're not planning on doing heavy duty work on the lift, but it seems a bit dangerous as far as working on the car goes. I'd think it'd be easy to drop parts, fasteners and tools in those recesses. Or worse, while you're concentrating on tightening up a trans bolt, I could see a foot slipping off the edge and falling into the recess. Ouch.

Very clever MG on the sliding stairs . . . .however, I see the rail that stairs are attached to - - - very ingenious as it looks like a hanging door roller rail mounted upside down.

Gotta ask a country specific QUESTION: with all the stink lately in news about Cypress financial woes, is that little island even enough money or influence to affect banking in other countries?? Are Portuguese worried about Cypress default or exit from the Eurozone??

I'll post some pics of the rail later. It was costom made for the porpose.

About the the Cypress question...that's a long talk question. I'm sure that sooner or later the wise decisions wil apear to solve European problems. Decisions based on social respect and tolerance.

Great MG shot, still holding my breath for some more ramp and garage entrance pics.

Thanks Dubber. Those pics are not forgotten. Just need a break to do them.

Anyway here goes a pic of my air system:

7,5 hp Gnutty air compressor
290 l air deposit with auto drainer
Air dryer for the all system.

This wil provide me air on the garage, dirt room and atelier. Dry air for painting and other tasks and oiled air for the air tools...

Beautiful garage, top shelf craftsmanship. Can you explain why the stair needs to move? Thanks,Brian

Thanks Brian.

The reason of the sliding stair is to have more space where you need it.
On this case, on the left side of the stair will be installed a sandblast cabinet with cyclone and dust collector. It's a big machine, so to have more space when you are working with it, you move the stair to the right.
On the right is the sink and a floor wash zone. Will also be added a painting both (if you look closer you can see the pipe for future exhaust). When you work on you can move the stair to the other side for the same reason.

Other interesting machines will be installed on this room, like a lathe and a mill among others. Some of them will arrive soon and i will post pics.
