Ha ha ... I just got home from 2 months in FL ... damn snow is still on the ground here ... about 6". Hopefully it will be gone soon. I'm down to 3 bandsaws but want them all. The DoAll and Rollin are used just about every day when I'm here working in the shop. The Wellsaw horizontal rarely gets used, but it is great to have when you need it. I am watching for a good used DoAll for sale that my buddy wants, but I'll keep you in mind if I happen to notice one in your neck of the woods. Cheers, Bill

I have a friend in the hvac business does alot of installs with these. he has a couple more avail. they are rediculous new price like 2,500 however he has a couple more used ones for sale if your intrested let me know I can get you his number.

I agree with the others - the time lapse is cool. Do you set the camera to record a few seconds every so often? Does it just sit up in it's perch for the whole month. Just curious how that is done. It definitely looks like it is in exactly the same spot through the whole video.

Although your '70 is going to be way wilder than mine will ever be, seeing you work on yours helps encourage me to start thinking what direction I will go with mine when I finally get to it. (Notice I didn't say "if" I finally get to it!)

Thanks for taking interest in the videos. The time lapse is done with a go pro set on a pict. every 30 seconds batt. lasts for about a 1 1/2 hrs I have a mount next to the ceiling pointing down I just push go and put it in the mount . work like mad until the batt. goes dead then throw it on the charger and do it all over again what fun.then import to a time lapse program and change up the speed to make it fit in a time frame my apprentice is showing me all this a little at a time.let me know what Chevelle parts you need because everything that came off the car I am not going to use and most of it is going on ebay in the next coming weeks. most parts have been blasted and painted.

Appreciate that, laying out some plans on paper before putting into a computer program (will find one I'm sure on the forum that will work).

I forgot to mention if I ever did it again I would not use a electric boiler it costs a fortune to run if you can go gas!

Wayne hope everything is going ok with you. Yea life just ***** sometimes it has really been rough lately but it is not as bad is it could be. the old doors were in for about 35 years no problems. these have been in for only a couple of years and now ones tweaked oh well what do you do just fix it and move on.

This is a little story about how things just never seem to go as planned!
I have had this ford 9" rear end sitting behind the garage for years and years the chevelle project we are working on has a 12 bolt posi in it now and decided to swap it out for a stronger rear took a quick measurment and was shocked they were almost the same! decided to use this one and make it fit. ground it,cut off all the brackets got everything ready to go.


LOOK AT THIS ATTEMPTED REPAIR!!!!!!!!!!!LOL. APPERENTLY IT DID NOT WORK BECAUSE IT WAS COVERED WITH EPOXY.

This is how things can take a turn for the worst or the better depending on the way you look at it. lol. after getting the rear end this far along stupid me never measured the pinion offset it was off center 4.250 ddddoooooohhh!! this was going to be more work and time ,and money then it will be worth. my plan was to narrow it how ever the idea of just ordering a fabricated ford 9" done was not much more money so time to eat crow step back or a move forward? depending on how you look at it.





looks like it is time to build some brackets!

fabricated a rear end jig to make life easier to install and uninstall the rear end housing. hope this works!

E.rodz, Not trying to insult your intelligence, I'm sure you used a longer lag to reinstall that garage door track! Just wanted to thank you for posting the picture. That is a perfect example of why I never install tracks to sheetrock! That could have become a very bad situation..Just glad it didn't!!

LOL. just think I paid a profesional to install these! I think the lags were in the wood by about 1/4". who would know that was a good thing it worked like a shear pin this time.

the rear that I was grinding on is not the same one that is on the stand that one had a 4.25 offset pinion and it just would have been to much work to rework it and I ordered a new one from moser. It takes a rear diff. from a ford 9" the diff pulls out and you can work on the gears on the bench rather than laying under the car.I will see if I can find a better pict.for you.
