After I took care of the wife on Mother's day

1) Tweeked the ride height on the 911 got it ready to roll
2) Set the ducati on the workbench to get it ready for new rubber
3) Picked up, threw out and took the leaf blower to the floor
4) Cleaned up the workbench

Tried to pick up a few more things off the frickin' floor. Got a lighting crew coming soon to install all new LED lighting in the ceiling and I need to clear the way.

Worked on the fab table. Finally got time to pull the top off and weld in the supports that I will bolt to.

Pulled Friday night's work out of the oven for the typical website photo spread this morning. This stuff will be on a custom 2005 Hemi Magnum at SEMA this November.

Here's a bit of what I started with ... not too awful bad (considering most of what I usually get to play with is four or five decades older :D) but the welds were downright ugly and needed a lot of clean up.

Sprayed a 12 cubby hutch type thing with latex the same color as the walls it will go against, to help it blend in since it is so big for the space it is going in. Then cleaned out the gun and shot some black rustoleum onto a vintage file cabinet I have been restoring/converting. Also put the final coat of poly on the wood top it will eventually receive. Last thing to do it spray the doors red and and reassemble. Got lucky on the drawer pulls... the ones I have on my garage cabinets line up perfectly with the file cabinet holes, just have to shorten the mounting screws. I'll post pics once it's finished up.

I found a very old and VERY rusty rake end while cutting down weeds the other day. I ended up cutting the ends off and putting the (now smaller rake) onto the remnant of a broom. Total length is about 24" and it works like a charm as a hand rake.

Had some angle iron left over, trimmed an inch off, mounted to toolbox using existing handle bar bolts, then used a step drill accordingly

Installed a new battery in the 911SC. Started removing the spark plugs because we fouled them out trying to get it started. I don't remember it taking so long. I must be getting old.

Reassembly. Set valve lash with custom pushrods on Tuesday, bolted headers back up on Wednesday, bolted all front drive stuff, water pump, and blower back up today.

The last couple of days I've been busy in my garage. I've built 2 large garden/vegetable boxes out of scavenged pallets, cleaned up my work bench some & put the starter back onto my car. There is plenty more to do this weekend.

Pulled my steering column apart, got to the tilt screws and loctited them back in. Reassembly today.

Made an aluminum insert to replace the cracked rubber upper motor mount in my mini cooper S.

Made it a bitter stiffer, less engine motion accelerating.

Brain stormed with my 13 year old how to mate a tread mill motor to a bicycle Should be interesting.

Annual neighborhood garage sales today, so spent the day in the garage selling off lots of stuff we no longer needed. Daughter and her fiance got a few bargains on furninshings for their new house. All in all, a good day, and I get to reclaim my garage tomorrow. Looking forward to a Sunday of cleaning and puttering.

Truck doesnt fit so in front of the garage I changed out a front leaf spring bushing and hanger on the 97 F250 that I managed to mangle this past winter plowing. Didnt even notice till last week when looking at the truck scratching my head asking myself why it was tillted to the drivers side.

I spent WAY too much time trying to salvage one good grill out of two, when the part I needed was eight bucks at the local hardware store. Tomorrows docket includes an overheating PT Cruiser and a lawnmower that needs to be tuned up.

Cleaned this up after rescuing it from going in the trash at an estate sale. It could still use more cleaning, but looks pretty good for something that was covered in decades of dirt and oil.

Got started putting my sons 1970 Speedway Scarat back together.He is so exited!! Gotta figure the brakes out,It has mechanical disk brakes. I need 1 maybe 2 calipers,Anyone know where i could find them? At least the replacement pads for the one i have?

Had to go and man a plant stall for my Beaver Colony in the local town to raise funds in the morning, then some garden work then wandered down to say hi to the neighbours so the kids could see their newly hatched bantam chicks.

Today more garden and then taking the kids to a local ex WWII airfield where they have a small military show on.
