I talked to Jori today because I had not received email confirmation of my order (somehow there was no email address listed) and he said they had around 150 orders :D

Jeff, did you happen to ask Jori how this year's event compared to last year's? If not I am going to contact him and ask. I hope we are growing :)

So as you guys can imagine, I spent most of today packing boxes (and drawing on them). We had over 150 orders which was more than last year. Also the size of each order was substantially more, so we definitely saw some growth. On another note, with all of your box art requests, our UPS guy is starting to look at us kinda crazy. I took a picture of all the boxes sitting there, but don't want to spoil the surprise.

Also, our servers did get overloaded, so if you didn't get a confirmation email, or if checkout seemed to be kinda glitchy, PM me with your order number, and I can look it up and make sure everything went through ok.

It will probably take a week for us to go through everything, but believe me, we are working overtime to make sure we can process the orders in a timely manner.

thanks again for everything

Rickster, no need to get all hung up on the definition of "July 4th." You'd still be in the spirit of things if you placed an order!

Nice! Digging the ratchet, Channellocks and ratcheting screwdriver. Wish I could have ordered enough to get that screwdriver!

Similar order to mine. 2x Wilde, 2x CL, 1x Wright, etc. A few of the items were Canadian, I'm afraid :)

Same ratchet but in 1/4. I hope it's as good as everyone says :D

Between taking a break for the holiday weekend and putting every last free minute into our new facility, we finally got around to placing an order to support a great company! It is so nice to see all the little American flags by each product!

I think I speak for all US based manufactures when I say...We cant thank companies like Harry Epstein the members of the Garage Journal, and of course Bull for supporting us. Your contributions make all the difference.

I can tell you first hand how amazing, exciting, stressful, and grateful the folks at HJE have been feeling this week. Keep those smiles rolling over there and as always keep up the great work!

Alex, great to hear from you. Thanks for participating in Epstein's Day 2013.

I hope that when you get some free time you can show us your new facility and let us know what you guys have been up to.

Is that Wright ratchet a surplus item? They were selling some nice 3/8" dr. ones that had been sitting about ten years. I got one, and they're nice - but with fresh lube, they're NICE.

I can't figure out why I like it so much. It just feels right. Balance? Heft? Nice click, too. Spent most of my adult life with some Craftsman RP ratchets that barely had teeth, to hear them operate. Now I like feeling and hearing some ratcheting.

I bought that 'old' 3/8" last year together with a long handled newer one. The old ratchet has a pin between the spring and pawl while the long one has a ball and the long ratchet is noticeable smoother.
Cleaning and lubricating the old one didn't do much difference. Still stiffer.

Both ratchets rock.

Free SK hat (which I had requested if any were available)
Free ratcheting screwdriver
Free channel lock shirt
Wilde 36" pry bar
A few tru-flate tire gauges
SK metric impact socket set
Wilde roll pin punch set
Channel lock 437 and 85
Rigid 18" and 10" pipe wrenches
12' and 25' made in USA tape measures

And a couple wright 5/16 sockets (which I seem to go through constantly)

Ended up spending a little more than I had planned. But that's alright in this case.

Thanks to Jori and the rest of the team!

Got my shipping confirm yesterday...should be here next Monday. Funny, I didn't go back and read anything about freebies and promo stuff, so I guess it'll just be a surprise if I get some extras!

Gahh, I shoulda asked about that. I've been wanting one.

They were quick this time around. Mine arrived today (well, most of it).

I asked for box art of a house with problems (I recently bought a house with a few relatively minor issues)... boy does it ever. Perched on a crumbling cliff and it's on fire.

I opened it up and here's what was inside.

When I placed my order it said expected 7/10 but I doubted it would be that quick, it's not here yet and the anticipation is killing me. It's stupid how we wait for the UPS man like he is freaking Santa Claus...... :willy_nil

I suspected mine might, but I just got the email with # today. Supposed to be the 15th, so they're still filling them is my guess.

I'm still waiting for shipping confirmation, but that's ok, mine was one of the last orders placed. I figure it will take them a while to catch up. I didn't need any new new tools (I prefer previously abused), so I just ordered an Epstein's shirt to show my support.
