Ended up walking out of Home Depot with the new MAG77LT for $120 tax in (had $50 worth of store credit). It is glorious. While not made in the USA, everything else is an improvement over the regular 77's IMO, weight being the most important one. Fear not, this is by no means a lightweight, but that 4 pounds makes a HUGE difference.I really, really love the base, and the grip feels great. Worthy of the 77 name. On the flipside, I am going to pick up a 8-1/4" model 825 for $35 later tomorrow. Now all I'm missing is the Big Foot kit and a Prazi.
Will these fit over a pair of glasses?
We don't get the 77 in South Africa. I know I can do a search, but from a carpenter's perspective, what are the main differences between a 77 and regular circular saw? Apart from the obvious such as handle/trigger placement and so on.*snip*

They appear to be Masterforce drivers, made by Pratt-Reed and sold at Menards.
