I may have missed this but has anyone found a place to buy replacement drawers for the 13 drawer roller cabinet? I want to take out the bottom two shallow drawers (2.9" high a piece) and replace it with another deep (6") drawer like the ones that are on the very bottom. That would make it sooooo much more useful for me.

If anyone somewhat local wants to do the full drawer cart I want one to use like the welding cart and would sell the drawers. Might even be able to ship them but cost might be prohibitive.

The side cabinet now appears to be lower than you had it before. I believe it used to be hung from the tool cart. Now, it appears to be resting on your lower frame. Did you increase the height of the tool cart as a result of adding the drawers?

I bought one of the 5 drawer carts yesterday, got it home and unboxed it and found several places where the paint was bubbled and nice patches of rust under it. I get to take it back and get another now. What a pain. I now know why I should unbox stuff right then and there and check it over.

no, i just didn't put the spacer back in at the bottom. The side cabinet is shorter and shallower than the cart. I didn't really need the cabinet to hang from the side because it all sits on the frame just fine. I was also thinking about mounting a vise on top of the cabinet

B) Let it be/live with it,
C) Take it all apart & return it for another. I went with B.

As a random aside, these are also sold in Australia under the 'MAXIM' brand, for about 50% more price wise! Sad to find they are Chinese, but they do get favourable reviews here. As with everything in life, it's a tradeoff I guess...!

Is it just me or does it look like you did all that work and it now it looks like a 44"er and you spent more than if you went out and got the big box to begin with.

I just got my red cart last friday and I do like how you added the side cart and the heavy duty frame and casters but you guys that fill the void with drawers are weird. Same for the guy that did the black unit. LOL

Google "tool box side shelf". HF doesn't sell them though.
Or make one, find some folding hinges & visit your local scrape steel yard. I bet the top lid of a washing machine would work good.

HF 'used' to have a folding shelf that was magnetic but also had screw holes and a paper template. It wasn't as nice as the one above but in either case I can't find it on the site anymore.

Search this thread I'm sure someone will tell you for sure but I'm pretty sure it was either BluePoint or SO shelf that a lot of people have used.

Probably not - it's not like HF actually make these now... they pick out what they think will sell, maybe these didn't sell that well so they canned them?

I went through this whole thread and was surprised that no one mentioned using an exhaust clamp as a cup holder. thats what I am currently using, 2 1/2". It doesn't hold cans, but it holds my coffee cups perfectly.

I've also used exhaust clamps as holders for impact tools, currently my 3/8" and 1/2" impacts and my air hammer. just match the size to the tool. drill holes space out for the clamp, then use a nut on both sides of the metal.
