Why won't Napa bring Carlyle to Canada?

I emailed Napa a Canada recently to ask if there was any plans to bring the Carlyle line north. Their response was that Carlyle was exclusive to the US and that the Ultra Pro line we get here in Canada is the same thing. From what I have seen I do not believe this to be true. Some of the filler is indeed the same, and the screw drivers look similar, but Ultra Pro does not have hex bolsters. But the hard line is not the same.

Why would napa not bring Carlyle to Canada? I think it would do well here.

When a huge corperate entity crosses nation boundrys the product line changes to meet local market demands as well as restrictions to copyrighted names or product lines.

HD Mexico does not carry Urrea tools, we get Stanley and the minor house brands. Urrea does not want HD underselling them in thier home market.
WalMart Mexico carries a lot of the same stuff, and in fact a lot of US made products more than any other retailer. There are some differences however.

WalMartMex, HDMexico, SearsMex are not the same entities as their US and Canadian counterparts, probably partially for tax reasons and because of regional management for legal reasons. National law can require a national entity be it related to a parent company elseplace or not.
