I have a few new arrivals, I'll show off the most recent ones...

My 15 year old Thermal-Arc Fabricator 130 Mig gave up the ghost recently so I decided to replace it with a Northern Tool 235 mig. Rated at 177 amps at 60% duty cycle and 250 amps at 20% duty cycle. So far I'm pretty impressed with the machine. I will write a complete review after a bit more use. Purchase price on sale was $849.00

Along with the welder I picked up a new Auto-Dark Welding lid....$69.99

And last but not least.... A 50 inch LED light bar for my Jeep and my night time off roading tendencies. A friend of mine is a dealer, bought it for $300.

I've never seen the inside of a larger mig, are dual drive rolls the norm for this class of machine?

I have seen it in a few machines but I dont think it's like an industry standard...

I dont have a ton of time on this machine yet but it feeds very smoothly compared to my Thermal Arc

The right size valve core tool as i bought the mega sized one last time. Whoops.

And finally.... First vise grip set!! :D

Love the feel of these Snap On vise grips, ive used cheap china ones in the past and the adjusting bolt stripped out and i finally decided to buy my own set.

You usually start seeing them on 250+amp class machines. Sometimes I think they are more for marketing than anything these days. Meaning many a miles of wire have been burnt on single drive roll feeders. If you are running wire that is one thing but, for most general fab stuff they are not needed.

I personally dont like the snap-on vice grips. Im hard on vice grips and ive torn the teeth right off my snap-ons multiple times but all my vice grip brand vice grips are holding up well. So ive stuck with vice grip. Just my .02. But they are warrenteed so dont fret over it.

I have the exact same snap on ones now for a couple years and I gotta say I'm not a fan. The handles come flingin open at any slight touch and the lock arm inside likes to pop out on my small one
Not to mention the logo is cheap and wore off on em and u can't even tell they are snap on

just had an email from my dad - he picked up an Elu TGS 273 for me - similar to the photo for me from a old lad on site thats retiring shortly - 100 GBP - its well used but full spares still availible.

My dad already has one and beats the **** out of it on sites every day - i remember him getting it at least 15 years ago - i was still in primary/elementary school.

saves me stealing his all the time when working on the house.

The snap on vise grips age good quality but as another member stated the teeth can grind out if used with an impact and you soon what you are holding. On the plus side my rep just replaced mine when that happened.

I didn't realize how nice they were until I finally broke down and bought a full set. My 1/4" drive ones + a lot of extensions + M12 cordless ratchet make easy work of some tough to get to stuff

Anyways. Back on topic. I'll take some pictures of my latest this weekend.

Yeah they make life a lot easier. And couldn't do without my cordless m12 either. It's awesome for what I do.

SEP? Or did you take out a second mortgage to pay for those?:D
Haha, ya SEP. All paid for on my own, don't owe a dime : ) happy about that, a buddy owes a pretty penny

What is the original brand of those vice grips? The white handles look sweet
They're gray, flash makes em look white. Seems like the consensus is they are grip on. They say made in Spain

Wrench racks off the Mac truck. I was able to fit all of my metric wrenches(8-22) and standard(3/8-1) plus my small gearwrench set, minus the 19mm. All for $15 I would say it was a great buy and made more space in my cart.
