Hmmmmm .....flare wrenches have enough issues, I don't think adding a ratcheting feature to the mix is smart

Pat,

It's 5.3 CFM @ 90 psi, 135 psi max and it's a 20 gallon tank with a 2hp motor on it. I plan to use it mostly for automotive stuff, impacts, die grinders etc. I'll also be using it for a plasma cutter when I decide on one. I got it from Menards, they had a sale $40 off and I had $40 in rebates from when they did the 11% back.

Andrew

Thank you Andrew. I thought you had probably got it from Menards.

Its not.

I tried them out on a few metric bolts and such since I don't have any metric fittings around at the moment. They work as they should...they are definitely not meant for anything real tight though. For me, the flex will come in handy. The ratcheting part, not so much. I won't say that I'm disappointed but maybe that I should've passed. COO was China by the way. Guess my luck finally ran out.

As other people have done, i picked up this set 50% off at 50$ at sears, my home service cart is looking good

I saw those at sears and almost picked them up. Its an even better deal than HF and better bang for your buck as its a 20 piece set. I just might go back and pick them up.

Sure is good to have when you need it!

Yup. Had gotten buy with just buying what I needed but would loose a tap or die over time.
Had a friend helping swap my wheels on my car and one of the shank lug nuts didn't want to come out and messed up a stud and the lug nut. I have $20 in Sears points so I bought the set.

It seems like the guys at the tire shop mess up a lot of studs and they always say "you needed new studs." I wonder if that's true?

It was a friend of mine in his driveway. Not a tire shop.
Shank lug nuts on a machined wheel are not fun.

Wanted a set of angle wrenches for awhile, mostly for hydraulic lines but didn't want to spend much. Found these Tektons on amazon and they came today. I think I may have found my new cheap tool brands. Harbor freight is getting too greedy for me. Sure I could cut coupons, but why do that then have to go deal with the mouthbreathers at HF when I can sit on my *** with Amazon Prime OneClick?(Which I have a love/hate relationship with BTW, Amazon exploited every persons weakness, patience. Far to easy to buy things you don't need without thinking twice. At least before it took 5 steps before the order was complete, not one click)

Just ordered the 1/2" yesterday. Can't wait.

I ordered one this weekend too. The big 1/2". After seeing the power my 3/8" M12 and 3/8" M18 both have im anxious to try the big boy. Until a couple days ago I still had my doubts about cordless being able to keep up with air.

Its not.

Dont feel bad, I bought craftsman open end ratcheting wrenchs....... I ended up giving them away to someone I think.

I picked up that kit at a pawn shop for 25 bucks. Was 50. I said "take 25" sure. They were trying to get rid of a lot of stuff. Got a lot from them.

Stopped by the pawn shop yesterday to dig around in the tool bins. Came out with 5 pieces of 6 piece Nicholson hand file set and Stanley nail punch for $5.

$40 on sale at Menards but I had $50 in rebate cards, (basically free) so I picked this up for the wood side of the garage. It'll work good for the days I break out the brad nailer or spray gun, I hope.

Based on recent findings on here, Milwaukee stuff seems to teh leet drills recently. I just got back from HD, rep was there and caught me and was tempting be VERY much to buy this set. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauke...-Impact-Driver-XC-Combo-Kit-2797-22/203639295

He said he would include the cordless hacksaw plus an extra battery.(failed to ask but if needed..ill ask for the full size 4.0 :p )

Any reason to not give in?

I'd take a look at the cpo Milwaukee site and see what that would go for on there first if you're ok with refurb stuff. All my Milwaukee stuff is Cpo

$399 for the kit, free hacksaw and 2.0 battery from his secret stash in his truck. Looks like I joined the family!

Nice! I love my m12 stuff. Biggest complaint is the shape of the original battery doesn't give you a stand to stand the tool on.. It falls over.

Looks like m18 won't have that problem :)

Well, I'm screwed. I've gone 32 years without access to a SnapOn truck. Life was great.
Today, my buddy called and says, "guess what? I got credit with the truck. Want anything"
But of course I do. So I got this through him

32oz hammer and 1/2" drive breaker bar.

Well.. My Hobart Handler 140 showed up today.. Unfortunately it was all busted up in the box. Amazon is shipping me a new one out today with Next Day Air, so I'll get it tomorrow. Plus they're paying for the freight of the broken one back to them.. Here's some pictures of the damage..

And..

On the other hand, my Armstrong 1/2 flex showed up in pristine condition from Advance Auto.. It feels very sturdy, I think it'll last me a long time!
