OCD like me I see...I love the skylights in the shop, those pics were taken this morning with no lights on in the building and doors closed, just natural light coming in through the roof panels. My other shop is dubbed the bat cave, it's dark even with all the lights on...

So what kind of power do you have going to the building? Nice sub panel I assume??
There is currently a 60 amp breaker at the house feeding a breaker panel in the shop. They also ran a pvc water pipe out there and apparently used duct tape instead of glue, it sprays water like a fire sprinkler from every joint. My plans are to run another 60 amp sub panel for all the machines, leave the lights, fridge, computer etc on the existing panel and run new plumbing.
I will have lots of questions, like what is the best plumbing to run. It is basically a 1/2 or 3/4(forgot to pay attention) pvc line buried from the shop to the house where it exits the ground and goes through a ball valve to a tee on an outside faucet. Would copper be better in the ground or just redo the pvc better or black pipe, poly, what would you do? The yard stays wet here in LA.

Thanks Eborcim! I found a decent dinner table set on CL yesterday so we scooped it up and brought it home. Today, I find a new listing with one I like better so in natural GJ fashion, we picked it up and in 24 have went from no table/chairs to two tables and 12 chairs. We had to get towed out of a flooded yard by a John Deere, sunk the minivan to the rails 
No pics but we tore that poor ol Pentecostal lady's yard all up...
Anyway, I hope to flip one set to pay for both just wish we had some video or pics of the chaos

Use black well plastic, it is for underground use and is flexible to a point.

I don't think you can have (by code) two separate electrical services from the same source to the same out building.
That's good info Bib, I was going to ask my sparky friend before doing any work but already had a 60 amp panel ran in my other shop that I thought I could transfer over. I guess I will be upgrading the wiring and panel to 100a unless I don't need the extra. Just need to get in there and see what all will be pulling juice.
I know there will be a full size refrigerator, computer, shop light, TV, stereo, clock, fan, maybe a few other things running 24hrs. Then there will be the additional lights, lathe, milling machine, drill presses, grinders, welding machine, plasma cutter, 60 gal air compressor, etc that will be intermittent. It may work out

Tools are going in over the next couple weeks, tonight will be our first night in there. Her kids were in two days ago but we still had moving to do so we've been back and forth.

Work picked up right after I got the red iron up on my shop, so I haven't even touched it in at least a month.
Then, it rains on the weekends.I'm not a certified electrician, but I have a bit of experience. I say you should definitely upgrade to a 100 amp service at minimum. The chances of you running multiple high-amp loads at the same time are very small, but you should have as much capacity as feasible. You have to keep in mind of what the house is pulling, too. You probably won't have any problems unless you have your welder cranked up high to burn 1/2" steel, and the air compressor kicks on at the same time your house's A/C system kicks on. Even still, you'll just get a mild "brown out" or a tripped breaker at the worst. If the current wiring isn't big enough to support 100A, you're gonna have to pull bigger wire. You can use the existing wires running between the panels to pull a rope through the conduit as you pull out the wire. Reuse one of the hot wires as a ground since it can be a little smaller (assuming it's properly sized now for the 60A service), then you'll just have to buy enough larger wire for the hots and neutral.

You are aboslutely welcome to come play. I finally had time to check out the wire, it is 6/3 with ground so 60a is max from what I have read. That may be enough for now, I don't have any 3ph or really large equipment going in.

Nice house and shop, you definitely scored. I also like the 30'x30' size. I built a 24'x32' with a lean to because thats all I could afford but I wish I had the extra width. Looking forward to seeing it when you start getting it set up so keep posting progress pics.
I think I speak for everyone when I say I hope we see an increased amount of project/completion pics that is directly proportional to the increase of shop capacity as compared to your last workspace.
If not....well I guess that's just sad and perhaps you'll incur the wrath of online bullying until such time as you amend your ways.

Thanks guys, we just got through prepping for our first garage sale(tomorrow) to rid some extras and start fresh. I already figured out the single wire code thing, just need to decide whether 60a will be enough. I know it will for now but it will only be a matter of time before I find a smokin deal on a big *** machine of some sorts that I can't live without...
Pacecar, once I get moved in, if you do not see some good stuff, I need an *** whoopin...This is definitely a blank canvas for me to go to work on, stay tuned!
Santagary, my other shop only had a thin layer of insulation on the roof, it read 125 degrees last summer on the laser thermometer I worked lots of nights there to keep from shooting my face off due to heat, it would drive me nuts. Here, the house is only 25' away with central air so no problem at this place if it gets hot, I just go inside.
I have a few ideas for air moving to help cool and keep dust from settling as bad but need to get all my tools moved over before I can work on them. Should have my stuff all moved in by mid month and take me another couple weeks to sort and organize things. Can't decide if I want to build a small office or a clean room with loft storage or leave it all open and just get more pallet racking to store vertical.

Damnit nine, that IS a nice place, the garage gods are smiling down on you...lucky *******. With temps like 125 I would be seriously considering a swamp cooler.
She keeps all of it! Maybe she will let him move into the screen house.
A swamp cooler in Louisiana? Humidity there is high enough w/o adding more moisture, A/C there is not a luxury, IMHO.
Evaporative coolers work in dry/hot climates, like where I live in the Sacramento Valley, they do not work where humidity is high.

1 - I learned from experience that moving things in before having an organization plan, and a place to put things, was a bad idea. Organize that shop as you bring things in, or you will never get it cleaned up for use.
2 - I thought that a 20'x25' shop space in the basement of the new house was a huge luxury, until I started filling it. Now I'm trying not to trip over things (see my first point).
3 - You will definitely want a clean room (with it's own set of tools). Even if it's only 6x8. Build it under a storage loft.
4 - A paint booth in the other corner (under the loft) would be nice as well. Just a small one will do for most projects.
5 - I'm jealous.

1Garageman, check the projects thread in my signature, it's a Delta 15-665 I'm restoring but ran into a problem with a non-factory spring pin the previous owner jammed into the head casting. Hope to get it sorted out soon as I get situmagated in the new shop. I have been watching youtube's of DIY spot welders made from microwave ovens and happen to have an extra one I saved just for the cause.
