Just picked up the DeWalt 34 piece impact rated bit set. So far I love it but find it a bit hard to correctly replace the bits unless you take the brick out. I did eventually replace a bit with a Dewalt finder/driver for practical reasons even though it's not impact rated.

3/8 torque wrench finally showed up. It's supposed to be orange but looks more red/pink in the picture :dunno:. Driver threw in the mag wrench

canuckian - nice purchase right there!

Its on my list of tools to buy. I've been slacking, need to post the pics of my recent tools.

You also have the 1/2 one right? If so how do you like it so far?

thanks...I'm quite happy with it. Liking the 1/2 quite a bit so far. Just the fact that the battery cover doesn't unscrew itself every time I use it helps justify the extra cost :willy_nil

i had one of the older 3/8 that every time your finger thought about coming within an inch of the cap, it would reset itself...very useful when you're torquing 32 oil pan bolts and it resets every 3:willy_nil

yep pretty maddening at times. Keeping myself from whipping it across the shop was a good exercise in self restraint though

Man Ruger you're going to need a bigger box soon! Nice looking tools, I enjoy seeing your new stuff for some reason. I like that as a mechanic you opt to take the industrial route with most of your tools instead of purely tool truck.

Yeah, I've needed a bigger box for awhile now, I got tools stacked 3 deep... Black Friday may yield an addition :D

Thanks  I buy what gets the job done, industrial tools tend to not be anything fancy, just good simple tools you can rely on which I like :dunno:

As Paul would say "it's probing time"

This is the deal I got through tooltopia. 87 shipped to my door. I received the package in like 2 days.

Kootenay Cycles the better the relation ship you have with your dealer the better your trade in value will be.............. i traded a sunnex 3/8ths impact i got used for 50 bucks to my dealer for the mg325 and the man gave me 100 bucks for it even after i told him what i paid for the thing! there's a reason some tool dealers are good, small things like that and he gets all my buisness the other 3 trucks, not so much!

Someone just delivered my package from Amazon. Left it on the porch so I didn't see who it was. But surprised anyone is delivering on Thanksgiving. But I'll take it. Love these screwdrivers.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Fuller Pro screwdrivers are great! I've got the same set. They're probably the best value-for-money brand I've seen. The classic fluted handles allow lots of torque without hurting your hand and don't need a death grip to do so. Despite having many other brands at my disposable including high end European ones, I honestly find Fuller Pro the most comfortable screwdrivers I've ever used. And at least in Canada they're readily available in most big box or hardware stores.

Nice to see they're available in the US.

Man that bad boy is nice. Makes my fluke87 look like childs play. But the 87 gets the job done properly. All that counts. Anyreason you went with this meter??

His Christmas lights weren't working. :)

I am also jealous, I have an 87iii, would love to have that but cannot justify that.

I seem to have a thing for tape measures, not quite sure why.

Whenever I see one one sale that I like, I tend to buy it even though I own probably 10. I've got a tape measure stashed pretty much everywhere I use tools.

This particular style is my favorite as I find it the most ergonomic, yet it still has a tight, positive lock.

Yeah I really like the handles. Got a few nos ones awhile back and got hooked. So far only found the pro ones on amazon. But I'm keeping my eye out for more.

No doubt it is a bit of overkill. I was split between this and the 87. The main things that drew me too it were with the larger display, the min/max/ave readings are always displayed along with the live reading when in that mode. It has a clock and you can record and review data with it. I suspect it will help with overnight draws identifying exactly when the draw occurs. With the infrared usb cable, I can apparently download recordings into my laptop, although I haven't had time to mess with that feature yet.

Milwaukee's factory sale today and picked up the 1/2" 2655 impact wrench for $125. The Snap-on truck also swung by and dropped off the Toyota oil filter caps ($140 :shocking:) and 1/2-3/8 impact adapter.

Looks nice good luck with it. The 87 has served me well super accurate.

Details on the impact? I've been looking for a 3/8 (2654). Lowest I've found is around $155

Yeah i just upgraded from my old 87iii to the new 87V. Basically the same meter just new and shiny. My old 87 served me very well. The screen went bad.
Do you still have the old 87iii? If it is suffering from the fading digit syndrome, PM me. I'll let you know how to fix it. It's basically a free fix.

My local Milwaukee service center have quarterly sales at the back of the warehouse, and it's usually refurb units.

I'd just get it at $155. I've been looking around and waited way too long for this kind of price to show up, lugging the big boy (2763) around gets tiring fast.

In my opinion, if you need it, just buy it. You'll soon forget the price difference.

Good deal. I've got the 2763 too so I know what you mean. That thing is a beast.

Also have a little m12 Impact driver, so I'm looking for something in between the two.. This looked like the best option for that purpose
