the torque wrench was about $10, the brushes about $1, kobalt pliers about $10, 12 piece screwdriver set about $5, the 100 piece bit set about $7 and the flashlight, tape measure and 6 piece screwdriver set were all free. All this for about $33, yeah I'm pretty happy

This big box came through ups today. A little overkill in the box for what it was but props to lista!!

I been looking for some thin plastic bins for little little stuff. I already have large trays from Ernst but I wanted small ones.
Found some from lista. Anyone looking for some check them out. These were $2.24 a piece with free shipping directly through lista.
They are 3x6 and even come with label tags that can slide in the box

Is that really what Matco does? Slap a brand on there on the other side of the witte stamping? Wow...

Nothing wrong with that, they've spent the time and resources to hand pick all the good and/or best tools so you don't waste time and money doing trial and errors to see what works.

Research and development takes time and money, and that is why Matco's "markup" is worth paying for. It's not like they charge you a premium and have you deal with the OEM directly for warranty claims.

The biggest ripoff is Mac. You might as well buy Stanley stuff from department stores.

Interesting. I just bought the 10 inchers at Sears. They came in Craftsman packaging, but the pliers say Knipex on them. It does not say Craftsman anywhere on the pliers.

I wasn't so happy the next day when I actually looked at my bank statement and seen a big shipping charge on there for the 3 little boxes when I was told there was no charge.
It's ok tho I called the next day and they refunded me half of the shipping charge which I'm fine with but they clearly did tell me on the phone when I ordered them that they take care of the shipping.

Ran to Napa to get a battery and saw a new display - finally here in Canada we have some of the nice Carlyle tools you guys get in the U.S. (except they're marketed under the name UltraPro). Picked up the 90t ratchet to try out. Used it to replace the battery. I like it.

Very cool, I like the black and yellow colour scheme. Looks industrial.

$$$?

They're pricey, so apparently that's no different either. I think this ratchet was $63, but with my AMA card I get everything 10% off.

Does that UltraPro have a plastic selector switch?

Nope it appears to be all metal.

i hope we get the flank drive wrenches too!!!:rocker:

I have a set of UltraPro wrenches that are 'almost' Carlyle. The open end is normal, but the box end isn't chamfered just like the Carlyle wrenches.

I have those too. They are the same as Craftsman and Matco as they are all Chinese now. Oh these are a little better they are Taiwan. LOl

I got my late Christmas present from my mom. A pair of the TOUGHBUILT sawhorses with adjustable legs. These things are a tank. I haven't built a work table with them yet, but I don't fought the 2600 LBS capacity. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1421296563.519855.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1421296586.151085.jpg

Good to hear. Don't suppose you have the SKU# do you?

I went in there to look at the long-reach 3/8 the other day and the UltraPro ratchet they had there had a plastic selector switch and the head felt really "loose", didn't feel like it was worth the $70 at all...

Picked up some stuff. Some SnapOn long ball hex sockets. SnapOn 1/4 standard impact socket sets. Some free knipex cutters. A boot for the Ct8850. The big set is a 3/8 drive Atd impact socket set. I'm very impressed in the quality of these. I have the Atd 1/2 inch crowsfoot set and the angle wrench set. Those are very poor quality.
