I called my local Costco. They have a 90 day window for price adjustments so I'll be getting back $48 bucks! Makes them an even better deal.

I just bought 12 at the sale price.
There must have been some Denver area GJers while I was there. Another guy bought as many as me, and another guy must have bought 30 or 40 of them. They were flying off the pallets.

I really like mine. gives great light, good spill, good temperature. On;y cpomplaints is the way it mounts and the cord. I would prefer to install the screws through the fixture and a hard wire installation instead of the plug.

I'm gonna try to pickup a couple of these this weekend. Is the switch a type that would allow me to just leave it on? Ideally i could just wire these into my existing circuit and use the wall switch to turn them on/off. Sounds like from the thread that is possible but wanted to confirm.

I called and asked, they said that it needs to be done in store. They cannot do it over the phone unfortunately.
@bbc71nova, it comes with 2 prong plug to connect to a switch controlled outlet. for direct wiring, you'd have to modify it.
the flush mount design was finicky to get the distance between the screws just right. one of my lights worked loose after little over a month and fell to the basement floor. fortunately it didn't break. maybe i needed to drive the screws in deeper so its tighter.

Interesting you mention this. They need a pan screw. Any screw with a shoulder or angle to it, the light will work it's way off. I came out to a couple of them dangling by their cords until I figured it out.

Anyone buying these to replace existing T8 fluorescent fixtures?
Looking at the lumens rating the LED fixture is rated at 3700 lumens, but 4-foot T8 bulbs are rated up to 3100 lumens per bulb. If I'm reading everything correctly, a T8 fluorescent fixture would put out a lot more light.
2 T8 fluorescents - up to about 6200 lumens
T8 LED fixture - 3700 lumens

I swung by Costco today and they rebated the new discount on the 30 lights that I had bought in December (at a different store) and then I bought 15 more. Going to double up the lights in the corner where my tools and lift is and my buddy asked me to pick up 1/2 a dozen for him too.

Yes, I added plugs to where the hard wire was, adding a 4x4 box and duel outlets for future lights if I choose.
I just finished installing 7 LED fixtures (3 went in the basement)in my garage and there wonderful!
Everyone who see how bright my garage is comments it's like daylight.
Couldn't be happier I burned a $400 hole in my pocket and I am sure I am using 50% less amps for a brighter space.

I installed 18 of them and they're really making the space a lot more usable. They're set at a density of 1 per 100 sq ft.
I have 9 ft ceilings, and they're low enough that it's slightly blinding. Does anyone have ideas for cheap and easy diffusers that could be used with these?
I think that would make the lights less distracting and improve the lighting even more.
One thought would be to take thin sheets of diffuse acrylic and cut them to size and attach with magnets. But sheets of acrylic are a little pricey. I'd like to keep the cost of the diffser at less than $4 per fixture, preferably $2.

It looks like lowes and home depot have items like this if you search for the term "light panel". I can get a 48" x 24" light panel for $10.47. If I can find a lowes $10 off $50 coupon, that would bring it down to about $8.50 per panel. If I cut them in half and only use a 12" piece on eacy light, the cost would be $4.25 each. If I cut them in thirds and use an 8" piece per light, the cost drops to about $2.83 per fixture. Could even go 6" for even less, but I think an 8" piece is better.

I don't know why they do that. Not that you would want to, but if you marched in there carrying all the lights you bought and told them you were unhappy and wanted a refund, they'd give you your money back and you could just go buy them on sale. So I don't know what they accomplish by beating you up over the fine print.

Mine was a 90 window. You may want to ask to speak to a manager.
Take your old receipt, go to store and buy new cheaper ones, go out the exit and right back into the returns line, give 'em the old higher priced receipt and the ones you just bought, get your money back.
