I ordered these Armstrong long pattern fractional six point combo's from Wylaco supply company online 3 days ago. The first time I've ordered from them. They had the best price I could find. Lowest shipping too. I mentioned Garage Journal also. A half hour later I got an email that they had been shipped! Frank Curry sent me another email: Thanks Roy. "I love garage journal.com. Hope you enjoy the Armstrong, if you ever need anything else please feel free to hit me up!" I will be ordering from them again. Great service and nice people. www.wylaco.com

The wrenches are first class, very nicely finished and polished with deep chrome.

Also I had purchased some wrenches a while ago, Craftsman pro's in metric and fractional. Made by Armstrong. Also first class wrenches.

Also a set of SK long pattern metrics. First class. Slightly shorter than the Armstrong/Craftsman wrenches.

Thanks so much for the plug, it was my pleasure working with you!

I just bought these guys:
<img src="http://i.imgur.com/F596oLC.jpg" style="width: 600px"/>

From here:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Carlyle-BSH42-42-Pc-Master-Hex-Bit-Socket-Set-/151242102592

Because of this thread:
http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4580961

And they look great, I haven't used them yet but for $90 shipped you can't beat the price.

I was going to buy the VIM set the day you posted this... now I have this instead! This set/case is much bigger than expected. I had trouble finding it a home in my box.

Snap On Battery tester, new product line, EECS350 and the EECS150.

I picked up the "Enhanced" EECS350
To be used mostly for motorsport batteries, but capable of so much more for use on my personal vehicles.

Lol, I had the fcf72 in my hands. If my driver still has it next week, it's going into my box. Slick little ratchets.

7/16 Hex Head Socket - was something that I needed spur of the moment so I was glad when I found it, as everyone else only stocked up to 3/8".

Got lucky and hauled in this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/281565817326?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

I am sure if he would have had a different title he could have gotten a lot more money for the lot. Some of the goods:

Same as the Bahco version. Made in Sweden.

Also Bahco equivalent. Made in Portugal. Stabbed them into one of my PB Swiss file handles I had left from the BF sale.

Back to Murica

Has electro shorting scars.

This one is new. Rotator ratchet. You turn the handle and it turns the drive. For those places where you literally have zero space to oscilate the handle.

I have that same ratchet in the Blackhawk 34950R form. Its a great ratchet for spark plugs on Ford aluminum heads were they only give you 2 or 3 threads to work with. You can snug it down with the twist of the handle and it pretty well prevents you from stripping those threads out.

I've been needing a good bolt extractor set lately and there was one sitting on the tool truck today so I snagged it. I've been pretty impressed with all of my Mayhew tools so I don't see these being any different they look and feel very high quality.

I seen them before. How exactly do they work?

Every extractor has a corresponding drill bit size, you get the right size bit, drill down the center of the broken bolt and then hammer the extractor into the hole. Then you can either use a wrench or one of the guys here has a special socket that goes on the extractor and you back the bolt out.

In theory it's super simple. I've had hell with them before. But I've never had a good quality set. So we'll see how these work. They have saved me from having to helicoil quite a few holes though. So it's worth it to me. Even though I don't break as many bolts anymore it still happens enough.

Just scored this off of craigslist. I responded probably an hour after the guy listed it. He had it listed for $140 which caught my attention. I offered him $100 and there was no way he was taking that. I ended up getting it for $130 bux
I just need to buy a new boot for it. It came with one but it is past it's time. Plus I'm OCD and want a new boot on it that I'm the one to make dirty! I'm weird like that. I think they are around 10 bux if I remember.

I oiled it up good and it seems to work pretty good. This will replace my ingersoll rand 231c that I had now for close to 10 years. That was a good gun and took a beating I just feel it didn't quite have the power I wanted sometimes
