It's a CTech build in Wisconsin, It awesome! It has a awning that goes over the whole thing. I have been working 12-14hrs days getting ready for our first race at COTA March 6. In between working on the car I have been stocking my new pitbox. I can't wait to use it at the track.

Man. That thing is a pure awesomness. How much if you don't mind one asking?

Building another one of these.

Nothing, too much outside work to do to keep up!

+1

We live at 8000 feet and have had a foot so far today (and it is supposed to pick up and get heavier tonight). We are in the "24+ inches" forecast zone.

I keep plowing trying to keep ahead of it but I'm running out of places to put the snow. :willy_nil

Once I made it out to the garage I went to work on cleaning and polishing the wheels on the Puma. After 4 hours of hand sanding and then buffing and polishing I have the rear wheels done.

Before, and by the way they aren't painted that is aluminum oxide.

Are those the original stock wheels? They look a lot like the ones that came with a turbo Trans Am I had (81 model).

Don't mind 22k it's all Aluminum Construction, observation deck, electrical, video data and communication system, holds 2 nitrogen bottles with build in regulators, disc brakes. The awning option was 4k which seems kind of crazy but it's folding and self contained on the pitcart and you don't have to mess with an E-Z up every session.

I got the motor back for the CNC plus another I bought off of FleaBay. Now neither one wants to work. This is for the Bridgeport Series 1 "Y" axis Now when I go to engage the axis drive, the "Y" wants to jog. I spoke with a guy that has worked on it before and he said to turn the encoder 90 degrees, but that doesn't work. Either I am overlooking something really stupid, or I have ran into another problem.

And I did try both motors, the new encoder, the old encoder, and screwed with it for almost 2 hours, until I found out I didn't have the air hooked up. Hard to explain. So I'll give it a shot tomorrow, but I called the tech up and asked him to plan on stopping up someday next week. This mill is really getting to be aggravating

Started laying my garage out in Sketchup after measuring some things out last night. Funny how I use CAD software (ProE/Creo) all day at work, but find that Sketchup is almost too simplified and took some getting used to.

I'll be using this to help layout the new lights and air lines I have planned for the spring.

Feeling every day of 40 years old right now. Stripped the hardware from a piece of 1940's machinery, down to the main casting yesterday. After going for a morning stand up paddleboard and my sons first bike ride without training wheels I took to the shop degreasing and stripping the paint of the castings. 3 cans of degreaser, 1L of petrol, a lot of scrubbing. Then 1/2 tub of paint stripper and now almost ready for the wire wheel. Phew! 70 years of grime nearly gone in a few hours. Glad I have an office job.

Lots of little project-tried fitting a Wilson beavertail into my 1911, tore my jack apart to try and get to the seals, then tore the rear calipers down to be rebuilt

So far had a good clean up, put stuff away. Cleared off the bench, had a sweep up. Lit the woodstove and then started to put together the wooden garden gate for the veg garden. Bought a cheap kit off ebay that has everything pre cut and all the mortices done so it's just a matter of glueing and pinning it. It does appaear to have been left out in the rain at some point as it has some mould on it so it's getting a good sand down and then I'm going to treat it with some mould and woodworm killer, then it can dry out for a day or two and then I'll assemble it and paint it.

Yes that are Trans Am wheels. I am actually cleaning them up so I can sell them. I picked up some Porsche cookie cutter wheels to change up the look.

Yes they're off a Trans Am. They have been on the car since 1989 when I put them on the car to replace the original wheels that were too small. I am cleaning them up so I can sell them because I picked up a set of Porsche Cookie Cutters to replace them with.

I started fabrication on a new work bench. The finished product will have a 3/8" plate steel work surface.....

I then completed my overhead rack to store longer items...

Yesterday I removed the tag axle trailing arms from our coach, cut and lengthened them to match the drive axle. Painted them and reinstalled them. I then installed the four new drive tires and the tag axle tires. Turned the coach around pulling it nose first up to the shop, raised the front end up and removed the steer tires. I did this all while it was snowing like hell. What a day but at least that part is done. Tomorrow I will get the new steer tires mounted and balanced and I can install them and she is ready for the RVing season.

Then I can move on to building my new contol arms for my Jeep getting it ready for Moab next month.

Started converting my old Walker Turner band saw to variable speed with a treadmill motor. It runs much slower on the low end and it screams on the top end. Just need to clean up the wiring and fab up a guard for the cooling fan.

Worked all day trying to get the CNC going. Motor on, motor off, change the encoder 90 degrees, swap encoders from one motor to the other motor, tried the other motor, and nothing. I cannot get it figured out.

First oil change on the Samurai under the mew administration yesterday, and today did the transfer case. All Mobil 1 synth.

Power washed the underside as best I could with it on one set of ramps. I'm gradually getting near 30 years of grime off the workings... need to spray on some undercoating in the rear wheel wells and other under-body places now that it's clean, to help deaden road noise.

The camaro is a very slow going project. I'm hoping to have it done by next spring. I still need to figure out how to do a build thread. Nice thing about doing a build thread is all the free advice from guys who have already been there and done that.
