MAC impact looks nice, the dimensions were too close to the CT8810 and the torque specs don't come close though. My CT761 just crapped out today. Love that little thing, kind of pissed since I've only had it about 5 months.

picked this proto challenger 3/4 socket set up at the local pawn shop yesterday, it was really rusted, but after quality time in a bucket of rust remover and some degreaser they look better and I can actually read the labels. full socket set but it is missing the 15/16, 1 5/16, 1 3/8. the ratchet head is messed up and my Mac dealer already ordered me a warrentied rebuild kit to fix it. what is this set worth? it from 7/8 to 2 3/8 with the ratchet, 3 extensions, and it came with a breaker bar that's Craftsman

I paid $50 for it all.

hoston 23, I'd say $150ish is a good/great deal for complete non rusty. Those were pretty good and rusty. I would've done 50 myself as well.

If you're looking to flip, I don't think you'd double your money. But IDK your market either.

Valuation in my humble opinion, is right around $125-$175.

Hi Bill, I got these for our shop but you can see the prices on www.trustyhammers.com. Quality seems excellent, they feel very solid. Of course US made and Joel over there is a great guy to deal with.

They are deadblows 1, 2, 3, 4, TCBP24, TCBP32.

Haven't had a chance to use them yet, but I have a motor mount that I need to swap out this weekend. They look to be nice quality with 90 teeth on the ratcheting ends. For some reason though the offsets are on the same side of my 16mm/18mm wrench.

Got both of these this week. The grinder was free (was my grandfathers) and the drill press was $220 off CL. The drill press needs a new bearing and a new chuck, but it is in great condition otherwise. Just need to figure out how to remove the bearings now... Haha

I bought that same model drill press in 1976. Yours looks new, can't believe the bearing is bad. The OEM chuck is a Jacobs 33, and is still available. Owner's manual is also available online.

Where did you find a Jacobs for this guy? I looked at their site and couldn't find one with the threaded top.

Jacobs replaced the 633C with the 34-33C.

Freebie. My boss said the motor only goes in one direction. I think it's the switch haha but I don't have the heart to tell him. He already bought a new machine to replace it. Pretty tight too, couple zits like the knee handle. And needs a good cleaning.

If so,open it up and add some grease.I do this with every new ratchet weather it sounds like it needs it or not.

Haha maybe. It's my third week on the job. The bridgeport was actually part of my salary negotiations. Well not really totally true. We came to an agreement on everything else and I remember seeing the bridgeport when he was giving me a tour of the plant.

After we wrapped things up I said "so, how about that bridgeport?"

"You want it?. It's yours, I was going to scrap it this week. The motor is junk, only goes in one direction."

"It's three phase right?"

Even if the motor is scrap, I have a couple c face motors I could machine up a plate for and bolt them on and use a VFD. But I think the switch is bad because if the motor was truly bad it wouldn't spin at all being 3 phase I reckon from all my other 3 phase machines.

I've been looking for a 42" table so if I was gonna whine about getting a free Bridgeport...

Twas a score and a half sailah!. If it goes ones direction, it'll go the other too. Heck I probably have a couple rotary switches you'd be welcome too if I knew where I put them . But more then likely it's three phase so a VFD would be needed anyhow. Once again, major congrats!
