It is a 1776 dualport vw type 1 modified engine. Everything u see is new except for block. Full flow oil set up with filter and mount. Weber progressive carb. Weighted front crank pulley. 041 heads, steele pushrods.
I pretty much stole it. Not sure but the guy may be in the middle of a divorce and was just trying to sell everything as fast as he could.
Either way, I stole it.

Before coming out on night shift, I put up another sheet of slatwall and hung these cabinets. This wall will be getting metal lab cabinets that will match the ones in the picture.

Over the last couple nights I have been practicing welding...I bought a Hobart Handler 140 last year and just got around to playing with it. Just using flux core for right now.

I did that for the past two winters. I finally made the jump in November and did it. So much more productive.

February's bill hurt though lol.

Changed the chain on my gravel/cyclocross bicycle.

Took the nearly three-year-old fishing and breakfast picnicking, cause i didn't expect a bite. Had a good time setting up the grub lures of all colors at her direction.

Worked on the spoke tension of this long-term wheel-build "project" I'm doing. [good and practiced wheel builders with the right tools can get a wheel done in 60-90 minutes]. I've been doing 5-10 minutes at a time, once a week or so for a long time. I probably have 150 minutes into the wheel at this point.

Wish I had a TV in there so I could putter about and watch the tourney at the same time.


Edit: pulled the cassette and chainrings off the gravel/cx bike… cleaned 'em all up by hand, kids were running around in the driveway, glad spring has sprung.

Primer'd all the parts for the 19 44 Walker Turner, Cut stock for the new handles to replace the broken black plastic ones, tore apart Bulldog 525 vise started clean up and such on it.

I took my brakes apart again, I guess the NAPA parts guy wasn't listening to me. I told him my truck had eight lug rims, yet he gave me the pads for a six lug setup. Of course I did not realize it until after installing them and driving it down the road. It was fine until you started coming to a stop sign, the pad would catch and slam against the caliper, making a loud clunk. It was obvious once I held the two pads right next to each other, I guess next time I will pay closer attention, lesson learned. Of course I have no air, so all manual to get it started, then my m12 can remove the lugs after they are loose enough.

I color sanded, buffed, polished, and waxed the Corvette. I was finally able to get it out of the garage today and put a few miles on it. All of this is in anticipation of Monday. As cheesy as it sounds, the car was assembled 50 years ago Monday. In honor of that day, I will be picking my daughter up from school in it. She won't know this is happening until she sees me in the carline.

Not much... Went out in the garage for about 25 minutes to vacuum out the Durango and clean the interior.

race car exhaust I had finished dumped before the diff but the rules say no
3.5 inch wont fit any further so 3.5 becomes twin 2.5 :)

Went to change the Fan belt on the Zuk, (it's been squealing on start up...)

Found this on top of the valve cover, and the blobs on the VC and in a pocket of the intake... Someone (like me... :tard: ) was using it when replacing the Pre-heat hose a month ago, and probably set it there or on the hood (the hood leans back against stops on the windshield frame, so there is the handy little "ledge".....) It took more time to dig the blobs out than to change the ****** belt... (Yes I did get the belt changed! ;) )

I'm just lucky the blobs or tube didn't land in linkage somewhere...

Installed some super pro front sway bars. Tried cleaning the powdery ash looking thing underneath my car suspension / bolts- only went up to the snow / Tahoe once. This stuff doesn't want to come even with a tooth brush and simple green.. This the 'brine' mess? Its caked on the metal components ( bolt heads, nits and etc )

Worked on this industrial look picnic table for my boss, 9 1/2 feet by 42", not rivennhewn quality but will be a good table for my boss and his family. Boss is at the head of the table, my neighbors came over to check progress and enjoy a cold beverage.
