133 Foot Extension Cord Reel (USA made)

$250.

http://daytona.craigslist.org/tls/4921176442.html

Looks like a good deal, usually when I see extension cord reels they are 50’ not 130’+ Overkill for my needs, reminds me of the Woodhead cord reel hot deal on here a few months ago.

Stanley Vidmar Style Metal Cabinet $100

It's actually a Lista and is selling for a smoking price, you never see them for $100.

However, the drawers have a funny depth. You would sure need to store some big items, they look like 12" high (pretty much the same as a filing cabinet.

A normal Lista/Vidmar drawer is approx. 3"- 4.5" tall (9-12 drawers). The top drawer looks smaller, probably around 8". If you need this size, jump on it. there's nothing better in quality.

PS> You may want to charge your phone, it looks low.

Atlas Model 7b Metal Shaper - $1800 (Woodinville)

You'd be surprised what you can do with a machine like this. With the proper material, a good cutter and a tight machine you can cut an almost perfectly flat mirror finish in a block of metal. Dovetails, square blocks, square blind and open holes ... although the blind holes take some skills!!

http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/tls/4923598998.html

I have for sale a very clean Atlas Model 7b Metal Shaper. This is a beautiful unit, very little wear, works great. Does not have original vise, so a drill press vise has been mounted and works well. Comes with 1 tool holder and 1 cobalt bit ground on one side as a shearing tool and on the other as a finishing tool. This machine runs very well and I can show it under power. Clean inside and out, no functional issues, all original belt guards, motor, cover plates, logos, and data plates.

Price is $1800 or best offer. I would like this to go to a good home with someone who appreciates old machines.

When contacting, either txt or email. For email, be sure to include: name and a contact phone number.

Unit is heavy (310lbs) but I can help you load from my vehicle to yours.

I can't match the $75, 3,000 gallon compressor above but here's something in Sacramento that looks nice. An old school Craftsman top box (early 70s or late 60s, the golden age of toolboxes) with some tools in it for $60. I have this same box and it is rock-solid, nothing at today's Sears even comes close. (The tools themselves are just trimming.)

That's actually a pretty good deal, that era of Craftsman tool chests (60's-70's)were pretty good and looks in descent shape without need for paint. there's also some tools there that would be useful in any shop; cool little vise too.

Can't believe the compressor is still available unless it's a scam, the ad has been up for over 7 days and just updated. If it doesn't work the tank alone is worth twice the price.
Problem in LA, not many have 3 phase power which I'm fairly sure this compressor needs.

Now if the guy with the Vidmar (above) would just reply back to me as I want to buy it.

Larry, You're killing me.

Excellent find and thanks for posting, well done! I would be so on this if it wasn't 5 -/+ hrs away (depends on speeding).

I've been looking for one of these Matco/Proto for years. Having said that, these old ones really bug me with there welded in dividers in almost every drawer killing your own prefer layout.

I love the look of these and the price for this is excellent for it's condition even after spending the 11 hrs of gas to get it.

I won't pretend this is the deal of the decade but a nice Matco combo for $350 isn't shabby imo:

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/tls/4930738045.html (Palo Alto CA)
thats not a bad deal at all, the thing that is nice too, is the top box in full depth, unlike a lot of the craftsman top boxes.
Plus the bottom has lots of nice drawers, not that "bin" a lot have in the bottom.

LOL, back at you! I've seen too many of your deals in LA that have me gripping the keyboard muttering 'if only the grapevine weren't between me and that place...'

BG841, do you know what year that Matco box is, and any other inside drawer shots?

There are no dividers in the drawers on this set.
(I'm the seller)

Your not helping!

That's a great box if it has no dividers, I just wish you weren't so far otherwise I would take it. I do have some friends at Stanford and Santa Cruz I need to see soon but if it isn't sold by today then something is wrong. A SF hipster would be all over this in a heartbeat.

Not a screaming deal, but maybe some negotiating can get price down if this is local to you in Kansas City. I'd try for $10 per wrench or less.

Region: Midwest USA

Location: Gladstone, MO

Item Description: Mac 7 piece metric line wrenches (8 mm to 14 mm - no skips)

Price: $ 90

Anvil Peter Wright 300# Solid 1880-1910 - $1 (Keycenter)

If I had the time, I'd get it, especially if priced right ... to much going on though.

http://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/tls/4930528259.html

This is a Peter Wright Anvil Est ~300#
Small Ball-Peen Hammer TOOL included!
Dimensions are as follows I'm not a blacksmith and know little about the craft but as far as I can ascertain these are the relevant measurements.

Horn Tip to Face Heal(total length if the Anvil) ~30.5"

Face length 19.125" X Width 5.5"

Anvil height, from Anvil base to the face of the anvil is 13"

Anvil base dimensions are 12" X 13"

Below measurements including the stand which has a

solid steel base 5" Tall (thick) X Oval 20.5" L X 11.25"

Floor to Face anvil on stand is 30.75"

It rings like ones on Youtube being careful not to beat on it of course and seems to bounce like it's supposed to, I think it's circa 1880 to 1910 at the latest.
I'm on the key peninsula and this anvil was purported to have been used at PSNS in Bremerton ~ WWII and had/has it looks like six or more different layers of paint.
The ONLY markings I can make out faintly for certain are 'Peter' above 'Wright' with a diamond shaped stamp and the numbers 20 inside each number looking like they were from different fonts or sizes. Based on the dimensions I am guessing at best the true weight, but it's larger in all dimensions then other peter wright's advertized at 245 # or so.
Look at the pictures if you're genuinely interested give me a call and I can accommodate any serious requests for more info/photos etc..

I have some idea of demand for these and I know it's not worth it's weight in gold but I also know it needs a good home where it can produce fine work for at least another hundred years.

Make an OFFER!
