I feel for you K. I hate painting and you have alot to go around. What are you burning in that furnace next to your tool box? Why not go straight up with flue and get rid of the 90's.

It's a fuel oil furnace that was in the garage when I bought the house. I'll probably end up rerouting the exhaust once I run out of fuel oil and get natural gas piped into the garage.

You're probably tired of seeing it by now but added to the Nerf gun rack last weekend:

Needed to free up some storage space so made these clip holders for each side. Can store up to 28 clips of various lengths now which removes a fairly big container from underneath

cutting up a concrete slab that heaved, and cracked in a hundred different spots. Building 30ft of cabinets. Was going good, till my buddy showed up, and decided we need to kill a 12 pack. So much for working tonight. On to tomorrow.

Not a damn thing in the shop tonight. I come home from work and hopped on the Wide Glide and my son hopped on his Street Bob and we took off for a few hours just enjoying the sunshine.

today i cleaned out HF threads. it was tedious.

But I put handles on my bass amp in the basement and I'm counting that since it was enjoyable.

Got the second coat of Kilz up on the ceiling. Going to start on the new light fixtures tomorrow morning.

Also picked up 5 gallons of Exterior Latex Satin paint for the walls, 500 feet each of #12 THHN White, Black, and Green, 20 20amp receptacles, boxes and covers.

Installed a set of Hella Supertones on my F-150.

Can I ask what it is with Subie owners and those Hella horns? I understand upgrading the stock Subie horns, but the IMO Hellas aren't much better. Louder, yes. To me they still sound like a scooter. I guess I just don't like the way disc horns sound. I prefer the trumpet or "snail" style sound. When I upgraded the horns in my WRX, I got PIAA Power Sport horns and then just for fun I added PIAA Superior Bass horns later. Kinda reminds me of the Caddilac quad horns from the 70's. (I put them on the Malibu ) Having (4) horns makes for a real attention getter when you lean on it, but it's not real annnoying if you just give someone a little "beep".

Uncrated my 2nd HF 44" and 18" side cabinet and tied them in with the first 44" I had previously purchased. Also, spring cleaning of the garage.

Today was a productive Saturday for me. Came up to the shop to first wash a Trailblazer I'm working on before it goes to paint only to find my water froze...... Winter just leave you are not welcome here..... You never were!!! So while I waited I decided to clean up the shop a little due to me being a pig all winter. Got the main bay cleaned up nice, went to the back and straightened it up some. Now I've got the itch so after I get a couple more jobs done I'm going to do a full clean out of the place. Ditch some of this junk I've been holding onto, setup some things I had laying around, heck I might go crazy and even set my sheet metal brake up that's been sitting in the back for 5 years!!!

Nothing great, but I took the Grainger lanyard valve that I made a video about a few years ago off of my compressor and replaced it with a bungee loaded ball valve. This way I still only have to pull a string to get the moisture out of my compressor. I may modify it after I try it for a while, and if I like it I will replace the bungee with a spring.

Here is a video that I made of the new setup, that I plan on linking to my lanyard video to show people that the lanyard valve idea isn't a great long term solution.

I inherited a tool cabinet ( from my uncle Jon made by Lincoln Equipment of Chicago) years ago. Moved it around, stored different things in it. Today made it mobile and useful. I just need to finish the "collection system". And thinking of adding a 1/2 thick plate to the top for a small welding surface. BTW made it with all stuff I found around the garage.
Me and my uncle Jon would have gotten along great he was dreaming of opening his own diesel shop and I became a diesel mechanic for 18 years. He had lots of mechanical projects going at one time (as do I). He died in a car wreck when I was a kid. I learned what he liked by reading through his notes from Vocational school and tech. school (which I inherited as well). He would have LOVED going to the race track with me. The only Snap On tools I own, he owned. I had to fill out a few missing pieces and have a couple warrantied since then. Sorry for the rambling just brings back a "what would have, could have been" moment for me.

Got the new shelving assembled in the barn this morning. 30" deep x 8 feet long and 6 feet high.

Then got all the new light fixtures mounted to the ceiling. Will be wiring them in tomorrow morning. Hopefully it's bright enough!

Finally got up my new Kobalt metal shelves. Not bad, got them on clearance.

Bought 8 for the garage and 2 for the shed...

Took the old computer server rack my son drug home and welded up two frames and bolted them in.
It will hold 10 of the deep HF cases and 28 of the shallow ones.
Now I have to watch for HF coupons so I can fill it up.

Built an adjustable height foot stool for my nephews to use practicing piano. The crude instructions scribbled on notebook paper were laughable.

Improvements were made. Sawdust was created. All is good in the world.
