Built my first workbench. I cheated and had Lowes do the cuts. It's not perfect but it works for my first one. Also changed the oil in the 2000 Trailblazer, put the Harley back together after chasing a rich cylinder and even managed to finally find the switch for the accessory lights. I found them after owning the bike 7 months and just found the button today (8 months)! I'm not proud of my stupid lol

Tried to clean up the cat litter I put on the floor to slop up the engine oil that dripped from a cracked bottle. A most unglamorous job.

The "Plan" was to pop out the old ball joint in the Puma and press in four new ones. No big deal right? Well after 20 minutes with the ball joint removal tool I came to the realization that they were going to need to be pressed out on a big press. So after looking over the scope of work and seeing that the entire front beam and head unit needed to be cleaned up an painted I thought well it is only 6 bolts holding it in lets just pop the whole thing out and be done with it. Well as most know it is never that easy and six hours later i had the front beam out but only after taking the front bumper cover off, the gas take out, and removing all the steering components.

Saturday i replaced the pine lumber around the pool's base with treated wood due to the regular wood had rotted in three years. Hopefully the treated wood will last longer. I used the garage to set up all of my tools and equipments. Then after cleaning up my mess on Sunday, I started on a coat rack for the wall in the kitchen. I got the first coat of stain on it and today I'll put the second coat on it.

On Saturday we cleaned out the garage, and I installed some new shelved based on some ideas I got from here. Put some above the garage tracks for things not used regularly, and some near the garage doors for light weight detailing supplied, so they can be accessed if used in the garage or in the driveway, and they don't interfere with getting the cars.

Mike, the pans are baaaaad. Wish ur lil garage was closer. Or some other GJer was closer that was into welding. I dont have a trustworthy shop near me. Not a good pic handy but u can kinda see the shape of the pans.
I had previously pulled the motor from my green 911, stripped it, and done a full top end rebuild with new cams and some other “while you’re in there” improvements. This last weekend I finished the reassembly of the motor, got it back in the car, running, and took it out for a drive. It was the first real “car” project in the new shop and as such was especially satisfying.

I've been slack with my GJ visits and even more so with the Powder **** -- still cranking it out though totally swamped even this late into the car show season -- but I finished these up late on Saturday night.
They're probably the 20th custom set generally inspired by some earlier multi-color work and my customer is absolutely delighted.
These were coated in Alien Silver, Wetstone Black (wrinkle), Flag Red, Manhattan Blue, Polar White and Clear Vision.
I try not to get too attached ... I love it all LOL ... but they're gonna be really hard to box up and send off to Colorado.
Here's a custom RPM Air Gap in Heavy Silver, Black Pearl and Clear Vision that should be delivered to California tomorrow.
These custom CNC pieces are insets for his valve covers to replace the factory Billet Specialities emblems on his '40.

Installed the Coxreel power cord my boss' wife gave me. I put it right next to my HF 50' air hose reel. Now i just have to find out why it doesn't have much rewind tension.

Got the last coat of latex up on the last two walls. Only thing left to do is to paint the trim and shelves with dark grey.

Have you considered that flue pipe? you could hit that with a contrasting High heat paint so it "dresses up" a bit. I painted exposed water and gas pipes in my garage, (color coded as well) and the planned air line pipe is already painted the code green for compressed air, and I haven't even installed it...

Since the engine swap in my Audi, I've been meaning to add some ducting around the radiator to direct more air through it rather than around it. Started out today with a couple of sheets of poster board and aluminum. Eventually came up with this. Still debating on painting it or leaving it raw. Either way, you can't see much of it with the bumper installed.

Tommy,, I have two of those reels in the shop and they both had soft rewind tension. To fix the issue on the first one I adjusted the spring by taking off of the cover and manually winding the spring back. It was a PITA and I don't recommend that. The second I took the junction box off and rewound the reel by hand until it had the tension and "pull back" speed that was fast and strong enough to rewind but not whip the end around as it wound back up.

The plan is to re-route it when I run out of heating oil and make the switch to a Natural Gas unit mounted on the ceiling.

I'll try that, but I don't expect much in the way of results. I tried to increase the tension according to Coxreels instructions by pulling 6" of wire out, locking the reel and manually wrapping it back onto the spool, but all I ended up with is the spring would go into bind before the reel was fully extended.

How do you know you got all the pieces out? #1 looks like a chunk on the light side...
Yes, I borrowed the Lisle tool from a buddy. He also let me borrow his Snap on 9/16" spark plug socket. I ended up just using mine, which is a KD tool socket from Advance Auto.
I destroyed that end trying to get it off the Lisle tool. I had it made a thread too much and tight.
