I like it, but around here those open chucks would be immediately plugged by mud dauber wasps. (They plug every open hole.) Does anyone know of a way to easily cover those openings so they can't get in?
Try these..... Available at Amazon and many others.

Anyone that has a Nomad - in any condition - when I'd give up nearly all I have for one makes me green with envy!![]()

Last night I pressure washed the red Texas mud/road spray off from the underside of my coach from our RV rally. I think we drove through every possible weather scenario getting there and the coach showed it. I stuck the generator out the front, opened the engine bay, battery bay and fuel tank/propane tank bay and pressure washed the hell out of followed by a thorough cleaning of the body. She looks presentable again. Now to tackle the Jeep in the same manner when I get some time.
Mike.

Were You in Palo Duro Canyon?
I live in Canyon and drove through the Canyon and saw the RV rally sign.
If I had known, I would have stopped and said hello!
I need to go wash the red mud off My FX-4..............

Several members of the rally bailed early afternoon when the watch was announced but we pulled the slides in and hunkered down. It was beautiful about an hour and a half after the storm but I was nervous during. My wife asked the rally hosts "haven't you ever seen the movies, the tornados always hit the mobile home parks first, that is all we are sitting here is a big target." They laughed and thought it was funny but I think my wife was legitimately asking.

Absolutely! I had to ask what the difference was between a watch and warning.![]()
That said... the possibility of being damaged by a tornado is very low. There are certain places (like Moore, Ok) that seem to get hit quite often. Nobody knows why.
Trust me, when I heard the terms I immediately found out the meanings and the criteria for each, I just wasn't expecting to have to research such things on vacation.Absolutely! Yes, we were in the Mesquite campground in Palo Duro Canyon. I had the 40' Dynasty with the rvforum.net flag hanging in my windshield and black Jeep Wrangler 4-door parked in front of it. We were parked right next to the 43' American Eagle with the large full-width, full windshield rally plaque in their windshield.
Wish you would have stopped by, I love meeting people from the forums and being able to put a face with a name.
Were you there for any particular reason or just driving through? I thought I remembered seeing a newer red F150 drive through while we were having happy hour one afternoon, and yes it was muddy after all of that rain. It took me most of the night to get the coach clean and I haven't even had time to touch the Jeep yet. Beautiful area though.
Mike.
On edit, those were some wicked storms that ran through the panhandle last week. Is that normal for that area? I have never seen thunder/lightening storms like that, kind of unnerving. Especially on Saturday afternoon when we were under tornado watch. I had to ask what the difference was between a watch and warning.Several members of the rally bailed early afternoon when the watch was announced but we pulled the slides in and hunkered down. It was beautiful about an hour and a half after the storm but I was nervous during. Mike, I was just enjoying the afternoon and since it is only 15 minutes out, I go out there once or twice a week. I was driving a black FX-4..The weather has been a little wild this spring, but it is welcome, We have been in deep drought for several years, We are now 7 inches ahead of normal rainfall.
I saw the banner and a group was standing outside Your RV and a Harley was parked right there. I almost stopped to ask what part of Utah, as I lived in Blanding and SLC.
Small world, eh?
I love Palo Duro Canyon, and I spent most of My youth climbing all over the Canyon, exploring the caves and playing in the red muddy water.
I always buy a season pass, $60 for a year unlimited access.
Too bad You missed TEXAS, the Drama.
As far as weather, a tornado has never gone into the Canyon in recorded history, they skip over it-
the folks that bailed should have stayed put.
BTW, My very first job, ever, was at the Sad Monkey Railroad when I was a kid. 60 cents an hour!![]()

That is all well and wonderful, however to someone from a mountainous state like Utah that doesn't worry about tornados, it is a bit unnerving to hear such terms.Trust me, when I heard the terms I immediately found out the meanings and the criteria for each, I just wasn't expecting to have to research such things on vacation.
Mike.
That is a pretty slick looking little tractor Steevo but what is it? It sort of looks like a Wheelhorse but then..not really!Took the snow plow and chains off the tractor, and put the loader and scraper back on.

I have a buyer lined up for it. Hopefully the deal will close so I can move forward with my next tractor rebuild project.

Soon I will have the car back on the ground and purring (pun intended)
