Day three of major cleanup. I lost my drive to finish this today after mowing the lawn, so I put everything back into the shop, and may go out a little later when things cool down.

Here's a couple pictures of the jeep, all done. Ended up lifting the front ~2" (2 1/8" driver side and 1 7/8" passenger side according to my measurements) and ~1 3/4" rear. Pretty much exactly what we were expecting. Makes those stock wheels/tires look like bicycle tires lol. The other great thing is I now have a whole bunch of spare suspension parts.

A pic of my wife and myself with the jeep after the cheapo lift and the shop in the background:

Replaced a 12" nailed to the ceiling useless shelf that has been staring at me for 18 years with an 18" x 16' shelf I can actually use.

I see you like finishing drywall as much as I do. Looks like that job has been staring at you for 18 years as well. :lol_hitti

Rochester 2 Jet from my Jeep, torn apart and put in the carb cleaner can to soak all the varnish and nasty stuff off. Rebuild kit is ordered and hope to have it back together next weekend.

Quick little project I did yesterday after detailing the wife's car. The floormat retainer had broke so I hurried and knocked out a replacement.

Mounted in place and completed.

All in all a pretty quick and easy job just thought I would post it up.

Fitted new needle valves to the SUs on my Sunbeam Imp and refitted the carbs etc to the car. Ran it up and made some adjustments ready for the safety test tomorrow.

Gave the trailer tent a mini service in preparation for camping over the few weekends/months.

Thanks Mike! Yes I think it looks much better. I agree about the rake, never liked it. A little more height helps as well. It has the stock 29" tires, we will eventually get 31" or maybe 33" tires so that will help a little too. We are Jeepin' on a budget! lol

You have great craftsman skills, if I were to make that bracket it would get the job done but not look like that haha.

Finished up the doors for cabinets on the sides of the TV. Now I want to make some sort of back panel that the TV can mount to rather than having it stand on the base.

I was able to get more work done on my new outdoor workbench / storage box. The stainless top is a freebee I got more than a decade ago that's been leaned up against a fence in the backyard ever since, dusted it off and it looks the same as the day I drug it home, it won't take much to clean it up.

The box will be trimmed out and painted to match the house, I also put some of the things it was built to hold inside of it.

Bob, did you consider hinging that door on the bottom to do double duty as a ramp?
I did, but I've only got about 7 feet to work with beside the garage so it would not have functioned well, the items to be stored are rarely used but always in the way, so the lift up door was used mainly for keeping the rain out.

Finished installing my outlets and switches for the electrical inspection tomorrow. I put in 32 outlets (actually 64 if you count both top and bottom) on 4 circuits. Over kill for 1,200sq/ft? I think not. Hope it passes.

This time of year, I'd have started on the South wall...

South wall is done already. Just have this north wall and the east wall to do. Finishing off the single bay side. The 2.5 bays attached to the south of this are already done.

Was looking at toolbox side mounted magnetic tool holders and decided I could do much the same with my stash of HF magnetic tool holders. Needed to chop the top one a bit to clear the tool box lid, so used my new-to-me horizontal band saw for the first time. Yippee, it works!

Instant access 3/8" and 1/2" sockets, rachets and extensions.

Had tried to use hammertone paint on some of the tool crib lumber but it did not work well, so I tried spraying with some cheap Walmart gray primer and it worked. Also rearranged tool crib 1 to take most of the woodworking and demolition tools so they are in one place. Much better...

Cleaned and rebuilt the carburetor on my old Troy-Bilt Junior Rototiller, which hasn't been used in well over 10 years and wouldn't run unless I put gas directly in the carb. Started on the first pull, made the final adjustments and cultivated the garden.

Not a damn thing, wasted an entire evening waiting on a client to bring by a vehicle that never showed up.

I told the guy if he could have it to my shop Monday evening or Tuesday afternoon I could start on it right after work I could do it this week, otherwise it will have to wait for two weeks because I have another job coming in over the weekend.

I am really getting tired of dealing with the public. People have no concideration for other people's time anymore.

Helped my son trouble shoot and de-funk my Craftsman weed whacker.. It was getting sluggish (took about 1/2 choke and full throttle to get any power out of it). 2 cycle.. Cleaned the plug and air cleaner.. carb cleaned the exterior and around the carb.. Test ran like a champ.

Its amazing the "lack of maintenance" something like that gets because it is a 2 cycle (engine oil change with every fill up)...and it simply runs and runs and runs until it doesn't... I've had it maybe 15 or more years and this is the first time I've needed to do anything with it. Mind you, I've got a relatively small residential yard to maintain and trim up every now and then... so definitely not severe duty..

FINALLY unraveled the mystery that was the malfunctioning 3-way switch.

The switch at the garage door was wired properly with all the right colored wires going to the right terminals. But the second switch at the man door was in a 3 gang box with another pair of switches and had 2 red wires and 1 black wire. :headscrat
I now have a much better understanding of how a 3-way switch works.

I... I just went upstairs in the loft of my garage to fetch a few plastic bins to repack some stuff for storage. While I'm up there and turn around just in time to see a cat dart down the stairs.

I don't own a cat. God knows how long it's been up there. The wall my man door is on all screwed up (slipped off the footing at one end, and thus there's a hole by the door. Either he came in through there, through the doggy flap on the man door (which will be screwed in tonight) or through the garage door while I was in here. For all I know he could have been up there a few days. Odd.

Same here, I left the door up on my shop one night, went out to close it half asleep, never even turned the light on. Came home from work the next evening opened the door and the neighbors cat ran out. There were times I did not go in that building for weeks...
