And the bulk of my Williams collection here. I have from 1/4" up to 1-5/16 in triple line combo wrenches, then a 1-5/8 standard Williams and a freak DOE thats 1-5/8 on one end and 1-7/16(IIRC) on the other but it's been welded together from two separate wrenches! There is an ignition wrench set with mini pliers top right, 1/2" drive sockets from 3/8 up to 1-1/8, impact adapter, two speeders, ratchets and extensions left, Vulcan DOE set and Vulcan combo wrenches, feeler gauge, phillips head sockets, 6, 8 and 10" pliers and the same size adjustables bottom right. I also have a handful of 3/8 drive sockets not shown. That lone combo wrench on the wrench roll I made is an extra 9/16 if anyone needs it, let me know.

All I've got. I had the sockets listed for sale in the classifieds but now I think I'll keep them and build up a set of 12pt with them instead.

Nice collection Tippletrash!

Here is a 1/2" Superratchet top and Koto 3/8 bottom apparently made by Williams.

Nine, that ratchet still baffles me. I remember when you found it. I still believe it has to be a knockoff but a darn good one at that. Looks like it does not have the signature Williams lock ring on the other side. I'd love to find one of those.

Nice to see some interest in this thread again Tipple. Some nice stuff there guys!
Alter did you create that wrench board?

I did make it myself. "Build" (paint) thread is here.

I'm still looking for a three bar 13/16", and to replace some of the mismatched / off brand ones with the three bar style.

That's a good ratchet ^

Anyone else have any of the 3 line stubby wrenches?

I picked these up not too long ago. Partial metric set. I need a couple to fill it out. Looks like they weren't too well taken care of by the previous owner.

Slightly different than yours, they are the two sided Williams Vulcan.

Hey 3bay,those look familiar . A partial metric set I picked up a couple weeks back. I don't think I have seen the Williams ones in metric but obviously they are out there in Vulcan/Williams form. They are not really stubby's I would just call them short wrenches

I worked for Bethlehem Steel in Indiana for 28 years as a millwright until they went bankrupt. They bought a lot of Williams tools and they never failed.

Those are great! Saw them in the garage sale thread! Basically they are all the same Williams wrenches. If we put are sets together.......I think we still don't have a complete set.

That's pretty neat Padroo, Bethlehem used to own the mines i work at back in the 80s early 90s. Some of the williams we have at work is from when they owned it.

I don't know how much the newer Williams tools make there way into the plants these days now that they are the Williams divsion of Snap-on rather than the stand alone Williams Company from back in the day. Of course since they are so long lasting plenty of the old school ones around I am sure. I see quite a bit of Proto around these days in the plants.

FWIW, I designed a good portion of the Burns Harbor Ladle Metallurgy/ Vacuum Degassing facility back in the day. That (integrated) plant is new compared to most/all the others in the country !

I wonder what different sizes were available, I don't have newer catalog showing these type wrenches.

Flyer, most all are williams are old survivers, I believe they have ordered some newer stuff from mcmaster carr a few years ago. You are definitely right on the Proto anything new we get now and the majority of our tools is Proto.

That 1" drive is comically huge, I would post my new find but a 1/2" drive extension is embarrassing compared to that.

I have a few Williams items hanging around my shop, but none more interesting (to me, anyways) than this set of 1/2 drive deep sockets. Not all are the same vintage and one is a Proto replacement. I've had them for years and have no idea where I got them.

Also including a picture of a large Superwrench I picked up a few weeks ago. I think it's a 7/8". Paid $1

Brian
