I did this. No luck either with the backback blower, pressure washer, chainsaw, grill, toolbox, etc.

I also scanned all rafters as well as searched for clearance tagged items, then scanned them myself looking for deals not listed. I scanned a ton of faucets, and the aforementioned Milwaukee 3/8 drill/radio combo (sku not clearance tag) and it is indeed $78, was hoping it would be less.
All depends on how the store is run.

If you have stores close to you run by good mgrs who keep stock rotated and checked you are sol

Not sure on the cs-490. The 590 is called the timberwolf. Yes, it is definitely worth 100.03. I don't really need one, so I am waiting to see if the price on the one I know of will drop.

Timber Wolfs are still full price here.

On a side note. The HD I usually go to took the "public computer " out. You have to go to the Service desk now and the clerks are all over you to "help"

I called see several of the HDs in Memphis trying to buy a 590 saw for the $100 and they all said no, even tho that's what it was priced in my local store. But, now I see them on Memphis Craigslist for $300. Dammit!

Anyone confirm if the CS-490 and CS-590 went penny status at whatever stores had it for clearance price?

Did not go penny status at any of the stores I know of. The 590 was still 100.03. Did not think to check the 490 too. Will take a peek again tomorrow. In Louisiana.

I usually check 2-3 store daily. My wife hates it. But I also usually find several deals each week.

Yesterday and today's find. I usually only find one item not quantities. Two cent spent.

^ ^ Thought I had found .01 score on the 26" 5 drawer toolbox as it was lonely box in overflow area.

However, rang up as $99 "on sale" and they claim to have 20 in stock ?? WTH ??

Can you please post up Pic with SKU and barcode ??

You can clearly see the SKU in the picture above...

Likely it wasn't the all black box, or is a new Black Friday box.

Saw a bunch of new Milwaukee boxes... 46" I think. For a Pre-Black Friday Pro event on 11/19.

Future penny deals. Doubt they'll last past the first markdown

Depends if they are on the floor or in the rafters...

All the stores around here just had them on a peg hook with the other surge protectors.

So we're all well aware of how markdowns work 98% of the time when items end in .06, .04, .03, and. 02. When an item is being reduced but stays at .00, do the same rules apply? Like for instance, those pressure washers. They were being marked down with the .00 at the end (but I never paid attention to the previous prices til the last price) and now they're at their lowest which is $29. How would we be able to decipher those markdowns?

Stopped in at my closest local store on my way to work, the whole home surge protectors are still at .03 level. I'll try to stop in at the others as I work around town. This is in the Tulsa, OK area.

I thought the .00 prices were an indication that something would, eventually, be clearanced out.

Some items stay at .00 for a loooong time, some dont. Im guessing its based on inventory, MSRP, physical size, how many they sell in a region/store/state, etc.

After the .00 would come the .06/03 or .04/.02 markdown levels, or maybe even getting marked back up to normal price if they deemed it sold enough at the .00 level to keep stocking.

well if you remember back all of the nailers were .00 for a long time, then eventually they went to .06/.03/penny or .04/.02/penny.

I'd assume the same will happen with these pressure washers.

The Bostitch nailers? Whenever I check, they are still in the computer at the .00 price. Same with the Husky chest combo for 75.00 and that Husky jack/jack stand set for 25.00 etc.

Those are the only items that come to mind. That Makita kit is at 161.00, but eventually falls to 49.00, with no .06/,03 in between.

I think some items just bottom out at .00.

I'm not so sure of this. The Dyson vaccuums are still .00 status here and the last price drop was June I believe.

Just a WAG but Ive noticed some of the bigger brand name stuff (Milwaukee, Dyson, Weber) stays at the .00 level for longer than others.
