Changed oil and oil filter on the Edge, topped off w/w fluid. Dusted out the interior. Shook out mats. Remounted handle on the super pooper scooper scoop. Swept out the garage. Was in analysis-paralysis for trying to rearrange stuff to get more room in the garage.

In the process of moving from CA to OK. I finally have a real shop, 30 X 40 feet. Been installing insulation in the walls and drywall. Got one wall done and mounted my workbench and put up my garage art. Having fun.

Forged a knife out of a railroad spike with my 12 year old son. He loves it....for about 15 minutes, then declares he's tired...internet withdrawal, more likely....

I had a spare set of hella super tones from when I had them on my WRX... I since bought new ones for my STi, thinking these were bad, when in reality it was the relay that was bad...

Re-painted the grills bright red, and installed them on the truck. Now I have the two stock horns and the two front facing supertones.... it's LOUD AF!

I'll get better pictures, these are ******.

Really simple to wire up, incase anyone needs the info or it helps someone:

Relay:

Pin 30: + battery

Pin 86: blue signal wire of exsiting horn wire (There was black and blue wires)

Pin 85: Ground

Pin 87: + wire going to horns.

(Then just ground each horn to the body/frame/metal on metal..etc.)

Works with my keyless entry/panic and pressing the horn switch.

-Nigel

I used to have a set of hella triple air horns for my VW's. They weren't crazy loud but had s distinct sound. This reminded me that i need to find a Cadillac horn for my minivan. That should wake them up!

What did I do today- I am breaking things related to installing a new toilet. If it can go wrong, it has. Fort there is nothing left to go wrong. - famous last words...

And I have to somehow get this damn Home Depot shed out of my truck. 68999a0e5a106f1c8f86e1a1a5909c01.jpg

Lots of prep has shown decent results on the wheels and other parts.

Spokes for the rear wheel:

Other wheel, engine and body parts done in powder:

Next I assemble the wheel and see if I can get it straight. My first time.

Been rebuilding the dashboard for the Duster. The old one had a hacked radio opening. The car was a radio delete and I finally found a plate for it. Now the trick is getting it back in the car without scratching it.

Finished the end table project. The bases are stripped band saw stands and the top is some minimum void plywood cut into strips and re glued.

Nice and heavy. The cats won't be knocking these over in the middle of the night. I'm still thinking of some type of finish over the bare metal. The cats haven't taken possession of the end tables yet. Just testing to see how long it takes cat piss to rust metal. :dunno:

Today I changed the outer tie rod ends on my 92 Accord and I loaded the new tires into the trunk. Tomorrow it goes to the shop to get an alignment and the new tires mounted. Added bonus: I get some extra space in my garage because I no longer have a stack of tires in the corner.

Touché my friend... My 12 yr old son too

On a different note: mounted my (4) leather theatre seats to boards so I could slide them as needed and placed them in my home office for movie nightsImageUploadedByTapatalk1456979276.906170.jpg

It's a e36 m3 (usdm) s52b32 (nothing fancy like a rb26!) that i pulled from a wrecked car a year ago. It's sitting in a e30 sedan!

That explains why I didn't recognize it.

That's not the 12.5:1 engine, is it?

I've got a tuner friend W/ one that he says is that high, stock.

With his CAI and higher flow exhaust (no, he hates fart cans as much as I do) it sounds pretty mean, but only runs right on our miserable excuse for "premium."

Finally registered the face plate to my big lathe after cutting to small first time. Had to face entire surface down .250 inch the take another .250 to match ID of the Chuck. Took several hours and cast iron dust all over but finally got a good wit. Will mount and indicate today then cross that off my list.

nope. usa got the 10.5:1 ratio engines. The euro spec was 11.3:1 if i recall correctly. Not really familiarized with other bmw motors tbh, but this one fit the bill!

Ahhh, fair enough, knowing my friend, no telling what he's got in there.

Pulled the fuel (sand and rocks) tank out of the ol Ford. Cleaned her out, new sending unit and lines should make her good for another 60 years.

Cleaned and oiled the new lathe. Started rearranging things to make a permanent spot ... then it's on to finishing the Band Saw stand.

Took down and gutted the rest of my troffer fixtures to retrofit them with ballast-bypass LED tubes. Hopefully getting the rest of the insulation put up the rest of this weekend, and the lights back up next week. Ended up with a pile of 16 ballasts and a box of 25 flourescent bulbs.

Is that really a surly? Looks good with the new paint and decals. Is that powder coat or spray? Home or sent out?

Not a Surly, an old Schwinn handed down from her brother. Just Rustoleum and a clear coat done in my newly heated garage turned out pretty good.
Got the sticker kit through work. It was my daughters request to have the surly stickers on it. She chose the ice cream truck model because she liked the name.

Looks good. I'm on the phone so couldn't read the "ice cream truck." I can't wait till mine can ride and appreciate that kind of work.

I have a couple of old vintage tools that I am going to restore today. Here is a couple of pics of an old school Williams 1/2 5/8 Wrench. this guy is a monster. I have a few of these bad boys that are in this condition. Lets see if I can get them looking like new. This is one of the things I will be doing in my garage today.

If anyone has any information on these. That would be great.
