Made some progress this weekend - trim around the underside of shed roof finished, paint prep started (TONS of bondo work), and drywall floating inside. Also picked up the recessed troffer fixtures this morning.

Baseboard inside should go in tonight.

Everything is very nicely done. It is a great building and the trim and curved topper look fantastic!! Great Job.

Best Regards

Copper roof on the eyebrow started yesterday. Shake portion should start at the end of the week.

Got the post in for my driveway gate in last night. I had to do set it myself so I utilized some redneck engineering...

Painting should be done later today and shake roof will go on this week as well.

Driveway starts Monday and they expect to pour by the end of the week, followed by brick inlay over the following weeks.

Um, WOW! Crystal door knobs are so cool. Love the fact that the garage matches the house. Great idea of the leg on the gate post. Another example of bigger isn't always better. Big kudos!

If property improvement were a game of poker, your neighbors would have already folded. Seriously, you aren't pulling any punches. You hit maximum points from me when I saw the copper gutter screens. I mean, who does that? Now I know - you do.:thumbup:

Thanks guys. In my line of work, I far too often see people cheap out on the last 5-10% which is where it really makes the difference (in the finishes). I'm also a firm believer of doing it right the first time which high quality materials. The labor is about the same, so why cheap out and need to re-do it again in 10-15 years? Hoping this garage lasts a century, just like the original house has.

Tons of progress yesterday - 15 guys working most of the day. Driveway formwork and baserock are done now and they're finishing up rebar today for a Friday pour. Brick work will start Saturday.

Roof is 99% finished now as well.

Yay, more bungalow ****! I'm going to be sad when you finish. Since you went cedar shake on the garage, will you re-roof the house to match?

Tons of progress Friday- Monday. Driveway was poured Friday followed by brick work starting the following day. Should be pretty much done by the end of this coming weekend.

Wow, driveway looks great! I'm just curious-how wide is it between the fireplace brick area and the fence?

Not as wide as i'd like.... 8'6 or so. I can just barely get my truck by, but plenty wide to easily get by with a normal car.

The rest of the formwork was stripped yesterday and brick work will wrap up this weekend hopefully. Interior walls get painted today followed by garage door install Friday and electrical trim out early next week.
