I know there has been some talk about this brand Capri Tools. For the price... I can't complain. Got the 10 piece XZN set as well as a knipex spark plug wire puller. Very pleased. Here are pics.

Those m12 drills/drivers are awesome. So glad I got mine. Did u get them during Father's Day for $99 at Home Depot?

I got them on amazon a while back for a similar price, but yes I love my driver

What's the gauge to the right of the nut drivers used for ?

It's an Incra 3" ruler. It has holes every 64th of an inch so you can run the length of a piece of wood with precision

Mac truck stopped by today and I figured I would pick a ratchet up since I need to diversify my collection. Here is the XR1890FPA next to my FHL80

So far it seems smooth. I would like any input you guys have on the quality of it. abf52c09642688c8bc614d253dae13ea.jpg

Surprisingly enough my Torx set came in today as well. Once again Capri tools has another solid case with all the bits in place. A 60 piece Torx bit set. Yes I'm a happy man today. :bounce: now I can work on my 2012 Jetta.

A couple of recent acquisitions. First, the new Tekton metric (ignore the red wrench rack) standard length ratcheting flex head box end wrench set. Item #WRN75164. sizes run 8-19mm, 72 tooth ratcheting 6 point boxed ends. Nice chrome, nice working length, sizes stamped on both sides of the wrench. I'll take them to work and see what's what.

Also pictured a pair of Merry Tools connector pliers from Frank's tools. I think they'll be handy when my fat fingers don't want to work

Got these new at the hardware store after giving my dad my old Ideals.

Word of wisdom, if your tool packaging says state of California contains chemicals with cancer, I think you should take some sort of soap and water and wipe down your tool. I got alot of brown 'smudge' off these cutters with a section of a blue shop towel and a mixture of car soap and water!

California thinks everything causes cancer.

You clearly have never lived in California. EVERYTHING in California has a Prop 65 warning on it. Cars, elevators, restaurants, parking garages, grocery stores, etc. It has gotten to be a joke. At the time the law was written, it kinda made sense. Our ability to detect compounds was much lower and the ability to determine something might cause cancer only could detect things that were more definitive. Now, or abilities have outpaced the way the law was written. As a result, it warns you about pretty much EVERYTHING, meaning it warns you about nothing.

I have a Mac 3/8" axis ratchet that I bought when it came out. I have several dual 80s, as well. I reach for the Mac first. I think the difference is very subtle, but I prefer it. No quality issues I've run across. I've been waiting a year for the 1/4" to come out, which it did last week. I just haven't seen my driver yet to pick one up. I am not a professional mechanic, so YMMV.

Both of those look nice. Looking forward to a review of the wrenches. I might need to get one of those connector tools for myself

New sanding board, 315G. seems to be pretty stout with a good weight to it and feels comfortable enough, should be able to get some time with it this weekend

Scored this old USA nork inside spring caliper for $7.50 off eBay. Really nice precision instrument for cheap that will help me dial in coil over suspension when I do installs on the side.

^I have a set of those in my box, I could just never figure out what to use them for in an automotive application. I've got a bunch of measuring tools like that if you're looking for anything specific.

I apologize if the post pics are to big or the post is to long, but i finally bit the bullet and upgraded tool boxes since the crapman box I've had couldn't hold half my stuff and got tired of a death wobble every time I opened and closed a drawer. On a good note I got more free tools coming in from my local snap-on guy (Joe here in Honolulu, HI) as a thank you for putting food on his families table, lol. I will post a pic when they come in.

I bought a couple of the Craftsman cap wrench bottle openers, on sale @ Sears for $5.24 each. Usually around $15. Might be an online-only price; I ordered online & picked them up at the store. Sort of a "new tool" arrival, I guess.

I know the question wasn't directed toward me but the part number for that mat is ssx16r3 I couldn't find it online. Real nice bench too mat.

Correct on the part number! I also found it not coming up available anywhere.

My Snappy man said it was one of those promo items they just threw in his tool order from SO - he didn't even know he had any 'till he opened a box of items a few minutes before our stop.
