I had a chance to buy one recently but already had 2 projects going. regret it now. next time.:lol_hitti

I had a guy call me Monday about a 66 Fairlane a friend of his was selling 289 4 speed car. He wants $3500 for it, but it needs paint from what I hear. I like the big block cars myself. Ours is a 390FE bored .060 over with dual 600 edelbrocks on top. approximatly 500 horses makes for a ton of fun on the street.

The wifes mustang that she grew tired of. I knew I should have tore it down and had it stored before she decided to sell it.

Here's the garage with my Mustsng build in progress. New Mustang (NM) on the left, former I6. Old Mustang (OM) donor car on the right. Needed to use some front suspension parts off the OM so we just got those pulled. Going to order a disc brake set-up for the front of the NM. Next step is to remove the engine from the OM and get it on a stand. Pic shows the nuts & bolts parts bin on the left, followed by the "wall of steel" - a bunch of steel cabinets for spray cans, parts and stuff. Work bench and tool boxes are along the back wall. Thats the battery charging area in the top of the red/gray Craftsman 4 draw w/o the top.

This is mine. it is just getting started. I just built the building last summer. now I am working on the inside. while also trying to work on the house, the cars, the yard etc. so the garage is coming along slower than I would like. I have just removed all those steel shelf units that I got at a garage sale for temporary storage when I first built the shop. they went out in my little shed to store **** I don't want in my shop. I am in the process of building some cabinets in that corner that I plan to paint light grey with ford corporate blue stenciled logos. hopefully it will turn out half as good as it looks in my mind.

it is called an air chamber it is like a bubble it has two fans to keep air moving through it to prevent condensation. it also has fiberglass poles that keep it up so you can just open it up and drive out. works much better than the car capsule I used to have.

I got it at year one.

I recently purchased a 2-1/2 acre piece of bare land in southern California, near San Diego. The former owner(s) were both developers who bought the land to build houses.. They could care less what was left behind by the original land owner, dating back to 1968. Well, among the tons of junk left behind, there were six storage sheds, and one of them was this 10x16 wooden garage, locked. When I signed the papers, I asked about all the junk left behind, and the owner of this (once) big home builder said it was all mine. Okay.

So, the day we recorded the deed, we raced home and cut the lock off the shed. Inside was a 1966 Mustang convertible... running, driving car! Hasn't been on the road since 1990, but has a fresh engine, top and interior. Not a bad side deal, for an already cool piece of land.

You "found" a 66 convertible, what a hidden treasure.:)

I thought this only happened in the movies.

How about some updated pics once it is washed.

Okay, here is the same Mustang a few weeks later. I fitted new tires, battery, and washed it. Sitting so long, it will need some TLC, but it did start right up and I drove it out of the shed on flat tires... Yes, barn finds do still happen when you least expect it.

Not really in the garage, This is my 64 1/2 convertible that hasnt been on the road since 1974. I've had it 12 years but not much has been done to it for about 5 years. All I need to finish it is a little motivation and a lot of money.

Its a factory 4spd, posi,289 D code engine. The good thing is it was nearly 100% original when I got it, The bad was that it sat in a dirt floor garage for 20 years before it was rescued

What can I say  You one Lucky fellow.

Well, don't get too excited. That Mustang is a 6-cylinder/auto, and there is a an unkindly amount of rust underneath. But it was an awesome find! Hey, I was hoping it was an old Ford tractor, so seeing the backend of an early Mustang convertible was just too cool.
