OK it wasn't today, it was Thanksgiving weekend, but I put a new (used) transmission in my 17YO's BMW. The picture is the old one going out. Now she has five forward gears! Changed the oil in my 545i while I was at it.

My nephew brought his F-150 4x4 over with right rear wheel getting hot and a vibration. Replaced caliper (broken piston caused binding) and found front Ujoint in front wheel drive train was ready to come apart. All better and a happy nephew. Gives me a good feeling to help the kids out. They are hard working and honest. Refreshing to see in young folks.

I added a dual zone Heat Troller to the ST-S today. I like to control the gloves separate from the jacket. I also added waterproof plugs for both with it. I used a relay so this would shut off with the key.

Jim, I read your two wheel upgrade posts with relish. I wish Mrs. LS6 would let me play with bikes again. I really miss all the little projects and improvements you can do with them.

Thanks Tommy!

I would love to do a full resto on a car, but time, cost, and a tiny garage prevent it. I used to think maybe someday, but reality is setting in and motorcycles are as adventurous as I am likely to get.

Don't mind the hideous drywall surrounding the half moon window, waiting for the recess/embrasure(?). I can't seem to find the right translation for the word, but it's called fönstersmyg in swedish. Have a nice day!

Start of day, cut long trex board on table saw. End of day, pulled everything indoors for the season. Hung up ladders, started to put all the deck building tools away.

Found some time in between work and kids to fit a new seal to the garage door and also knocked up some chocks ready for the track car.

Moosehill - like the cleat system

Went out to my barn and found this '63. Been sitting there waiting for quite a while. Thought maybe Chip Foose would find it back when they were Overhaulin. Guess not. It is a pretty sound car, has never been out in the snow and has about 26k. Not many of the 660 Classic 2drs around.

Wrapped up a couple maintenance/repair items on the lawn tractor, which may get put to use with the blower today as our first snowfall is underway. Also added a 2nd lamp to the blast cabinet, which made a huge difference.

yep. The interior is shot and I leave windows open to keep air flow through there. The original owner was a cigar smoker and apparently wasn't careful with the ashes, front and rear seats and carpets need replacing. I have put the carpets in and have the new foam and seat covers stored inside. The car is rust free and I get it outside and run it a few times every year. Usually wash it a couple times during the summer but didn't this year which is obvious.:dunno:

Didn't do much in the garage today, Cold and wind blowing. I didn't want to start the heat so I just sorted my can saws, I have a tool box that holds my angle drill and has storage for the can saws, My dups. will go in a drawer under the drill press. But that is all I got done today. Too many other irons in the fire. Have to go to a family's funeral later today. Rich

Fiddled around with stuff, mostly looked at newer parts for Madge, but realistically got nothing done but drink beer and hot sake...

Built a new welder cabinet. All free from scrap I had laying around. My buddy got me the file cabinet and I made up the rest. The old stand is next to the new.

Didn't do anything in the garage today, but continued to mud and tape (I hate doing drywall) the bar area. Finally finished the first coat over everything. We hope to be ready for primer by the end of the week.

Did I mention I hate doing drywall?

Changed battery in daughter's '14 Dodge Journey. It was quite a character building exercise. Who designs this ****.

Nice! Do it yourself? I only ask cause I wouldn't mind giving it a go myself. What did you choose to power with it?

We very seldom lose power, and when we do, it's always been 2 hours tops. But I would really like a transfer switch. A lot of peace of mind right there!

Nothing to brag about. Put some screws in a couple of 2x4 box I've been building. It's about done. I can't decide on the color I want to paint it. But, painting is not a real option with 43 degrees and rain. So we made a trip to Home Depot and walked around it for entertainment. Came back home and watched DIY shows for a while.
Regards,
John

Got the Xmas lights for the house out of the garage (five 1X4 boards - Pre-wired/lighted) and hung then on the house. dropped one and jerked some of the lights loose on the other board, so had to pull both those down and rehang part of the string and remount. Done now...
