Are you sure the mounting hole is broke off does it have three holes remaining or two holes ?
I picked up this vise it has a 4" jaw face it also has no name on it or numbers.
I stripped the old original paint off it ( the original color was dark aquamarine color) once cleaned there was no evidence that anything had been ground off so I just painted it. Here are some photos if anyone has any information it would be appreciated. Thanks.
A couple more from this proud Papa...
My guess is a Morgan or a Rock Island
A couple more from this proud Papa...

I mounted the 4 1/2" Morgan to my other bench and will move the 5" Powercraft to a stand I made from a semi drum. The disassembly proses is underway for the monarch. The removal of the jaws was a chore once I got the screws to break loose had to work them back and fourth a hundred times to get them backed out.the dynamic jaw had paper under it I'm guessing as a shim of sorts
GMAN: i've got a vise exactly like yours in the before picture and i have to say you did a very nice job. did you order the paint directly from Snap on or do you still have a Snap On guy drive up in a truck that might carry it in his van?

Finally got my 80C 8" Yost mounted to my "multi-task" work bench. It makes the 5" Colombian look tiny.I mounted the 4 1/2" Morgan to my other bench and will move the 5" Powercraft to a stand I made from a semi drum.
MOOR: sorry you are learning the HARD WAY about buying vises off of a PICTURE. i've bought a couple vises that i wish i hadn't over the years, but they still will be or were good parts vises. that might not be what you wanted to hear.
that said can you post up more pictures of the dynamic's slide cause if it's ok and the jaw is ok a good dynamic is a great part to have on a 6 inch 100 year old Monarch. in fact you might find another Monarch with a bad dynamic and a good swivel and vise nut and you've got yourself a very nice old heavy BIG vise.
sorry i couldn't see the broken mount in the picture. I actually started a thread about broken vises a few years ago to try and help members notice things before they spent their money.
CA: any pictures of the 404.5 naked to post or was it a quick decision to paint it? nice color and great looking vise and restoration.

Jim: thanks for the 411 about my little Craftsman L shaped vise and makes sense.
and looks to be in excellent condition.---Came out of Pittsburgh appropriately enough.---Will try to procure pictures if another member doesn't get them first.---One step closer to the big one.
Finished this bad boy up tonight....Snap-On 1740 that started out red, but wanted to be Extreme Green! Unfortunately, I can't keep all the vises I restore, so this one is going to need a new home soon, but it was a fun project. I had to post this over in the Green Snap-On thread just to share the coolness....I'm pretty tickled with how this turned out.

Srr, that Yost is an awesome vise, but I suspect you're going to find it's too tall to be mounted on most benches, and still be comfortable to use. Unless you're 7' tall of course......

I think I saw someone say a while back that the dual pinned Wilton's are a little rarer?
Someone's asking $140 for this in my area.. No size/ numbers listed
Worth a look?
Cheers

Wow..Its a 3 1/2 CO model bullet with the double pins. Very cool. A friend of mine just sold one for $600 on ebay. The double pin C0s dont come up often
If I can grab it I'll be sure to help you outWish I had the other hole location, need a dimension closer then a tape measure reading. Might need both hole locations if the one hole is located in a different place.
I have found that Reed's pipe jaws are pretty close to Wiltons except the C0 and 1C models. The teeth are all identical on all.
Looks like he had it posted two weeks ago at 250I kick myself for selling the one I restored. I didn't get $600 but did sell it for a decent price. I would give $140 if there are no cracks or repairs
