Once again, another fantastic gift from my GJ SS! I received two Trusty Cook hammers in the last two sizes I did not have so I am not sure how you snuck into my garage and found that out but nicely played sir! :)

GJSS1.jpg

As if that wasn't enough, he sent a beautiful Swedish made Morakniv knife and a neat LED pen light. The knife with its quick clip sheath will come in very handy when I am roaming our little farm doing repairs etc.. This will be a welcome replacement for the woefully inadequate folding utility knife I had been using.

Bob, I think I know what your screen name is but I am not sure so please shoot me a PM as I want to send you a note.

Thank you for the wonderful gifts!

Cypherian sent me some stone wheels, a wire wheel and a wheel dresser for the Craftsman block grinder that I picked up last month. Thanks so much for taking the time to do this!

Opened up my awesome gift from my secret Santa. Got a set of park tools brushes for cleaning my bike, and a chain whip for performing my upcoming 1x11 swap on my mountain bike. Totally thrilled! Our bunny seemed very interested too and wanted to be in the picture haha. Thank you Jon aka Jawn! Merry Christmas to you and your family, and best of luck on your coming arrival! We're both going to be entering fatherhood in 2017 about a month apart!

Big thank you to vbwiley92 for doing a fantastic job of picking out some perfect items. You did an excellent job in your research and everything will be extremely useful. If I remember right, I think this was your first year participating in the GJSS. Well done.

I received...

A nice hand written note

Tig Finger sold by Jody at Welding Tips and Tricks - These work great, and you can never have too many around. Without Jody's videos, I would have never had the confidence to begin welding, and I think what his channel has done for (especially beginner) welders, is really profound. It's great to see the support for what he does.

Wera Kraftform Kompakt Screwdriver - This gift is really clever, especially because I received a different Wera screwdriver set years ago for a GJSS (I think it was my first year). I've had this screwdriver on my ebay watch list since then, but just never ended up making the purchase. The original set is my go to set, and these handles are perfect. It's clever how the bits are stored under the pop-up handle and the shank can be set at different lengths or removed.

Valve Stem Caps/Keychain - Being a DSM/Mitsubishi guy, these are great and the keychain is a nice touch.

Once again, thanks again and Merry Christmas!
Glad you liked it. This is year one, and im hooked.

Can't thank MEngineer enough for the gift. I received two Eastwing soft face hammers. My 18month old dropped his toys and confiscated them already so they're already being used.

The shop floor sweeping s was a nice touch and I'll enjoy the candy.

Thanks again for the great gift and Merry Christmas!

Big thank you to Jon (jlh92) for the awesome set of pliers and screwdriver. I'm an electrician currently getting my EE degree and will definitely use those dykes and mini bolt cutters.

I've never had my mitts on any Tekton tools before. Not too common here in CA.

Sorry the picture is huge. I used tapatalk. Also, our gravity here in CA is 90*, for those that didn't know.

Thank You DonkDonk (Zack) for hitting it out of the park on this. Super cool hammer that he made himself and it has different tips, this will get lots of use. A cool bullet key chain, a jeep Matchbox car that I forgot to put in the picture, a light switch that turns on a self contained led light and a spool of fishing line that will go on a reel that I have been wanting to re-spool.
Thank you again! Merry Christmas!

That was me, I'm glad you liked them. Had trouble figuring out what to get you until I realized I skipped over your elf post. Saw that you were getting into wood working and it reminded me of all the cool stuff my dad built me when I was a kid, back when he was big into wood working. Hopefully you can build similar memories with your kids. :D

I got some real goodies from kunkernator!

A Bosch laser measure, a CAT 3/8 ratchet, a Craftsman Professional #2 phillips screwdriver (always handy), and best of all... some really nice looking cobalt USA split point drill bits! Looking forward to trying these drill bits out, especially since I've been working with steel more lately. I already tried out the laser measure, seems accurate and I think it'll come in handy!

Thank you!

Glad you liked everything. It's funny, I first learned about the Morakniv's right here on GJ, I have several now. As to the sneaking into your garage...... I have tactical ninja elves that I keep on stand-by for just such occasions.
Merry Christmas!

Many thanks to my SS, Corndoggeh, for the cool stuff.

A nice sign to add to the shop, two cans of adult pop I haven't tried yet, some snacks , a franklin mint book and a small made in USA plane.

Cool stuff. Thanks!

Got some awesome stuff again this year,

  • Sticky Pig Seasoning and BBQ Sauce (Made in Missouri) (Original & Jalepeno)
  • Beef & Summer Sausage (not pictured )
  • Darn Tough Merino Wool socks (Made in Vermont)
  • Chapman Bit Driver w/ Bits (Made in Connecticut)

Thank you Gary T.! I'm assuming the sauce and seasoning is local and you hit the spot with the USA goodness. Have a Merry Christmas!

My Secret Santa was ckadams00.

Chris nicely wrapped and decorated a GJ themed box and it has been under our tree for a while. This morning I finally got to open it and he nailed it with Wilde pin punches, a kershaw knife (with sweet bottle opener), a pouch, and best of all, The Macallan 12 Double Cask scotch.

I've had Macallan and loved it but have not tried the double cask, I'm really excited to give it a try.

Thanks so much for the thoughtful and generous gift, Chris.

A very Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Merry Christmas everyone!!! I want to send a special thanks to my SS Oggy! I got some really great gifts! I has been wanting a set of t-handle allen wrenches, but hadn't pulled the trigger. Also, I can't wait to get out to the garage and hang my new sign. I finally have a spot in my garage to hang cool signage like this. I'm super stoked! Last but not least, I love the slingshot. Not sure how you knew Oggy, but I have an obsession with slingshots. This is a great little pocket carry! Love it all. Thanks so much and merry Christmas!
