It's sooooooooooo pretty

Two things I would change on mine. The handle isn't the most ergonomic, and I would love an anvil brake.

Minor in the grand scheme of things though. I love mine, would love to add the 3/8" to my collection!

A few things I've picked up over the last couple weeks. I got the wright socket set off kijiji (like Craigslist). It's brand new and came with a snap on sliding t handle. Pretty happy with it. The pb Swiss picks are great quality of course. I'm in the middle of putting my motorcycle back together so I grabbed the common wrench sizes for that in the proto ASDs.

Just a thought on those:
I know custom / home made is cool, but I bought the plastic slide apart bars for crow-foots - SO # A277. I have found the nicest part is you find the one you need out of the middle of the row and slip each half apart still on that half of the rack without fumbling / scattering the rest of them around - keeps thing neat and fast to work with. Might not matter, but if you find it's an issue that bugs you, then I definitely recommend the ready-made's.

Does anyone know if there's a new Snap On catalog for 2017? If so does it have the new hard handle screwdrivers and ratchets in it?

Picked up some Milwaukee tapes at Home Depot and some welding gear from zoro. Zoro free shipping was at my door in less than 2 days.

Where did you buy the KTC wrenches?

I purchased them from Frank's Tools. It took him about a week to order them in but then he sent them to me via 2-day USPS mail. I was happy with the purchase and would not hesitate to buy from him again.

I don't know if there's a new catalogue out but I'm pretty sure the hard handles wouldn't be in it. They debuted back at the 2016 Snap-on convention but I think they couldn't produce them as fast as they thought. I ordered mine in October and just got them 2 weeks ago.

This will come in handy very soon. I like the sliding-top case--no hinges to fail. Its very sturdy.

I'm disappointed. I purchased a Williams 5-piece screwdriver set, my first Williams product, and noticed a problem immediately. Back they go.

Regrettably, you are not the first to experience this. There have been several here on GJ with the same issue. That is something that has prevented me from ever buying any.

Here is a thread from last year on the subject: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=317040

I doubt it will hold a set though this is my metric set (9mm-24mm) and i also have the large sae set which is 26 pieces 7/16-2" . I could split them up but even with my box, space is premium. I do wish i had that kind of option though. I rarely use the larger sizes but got that set since it was to cheap to pass.

I have a pipeliner hood. There are several customizations that will make it more enjoyable to use. Here are a few:

1. The headgear is kind of trashy. Expect to replace the plastic bolts that are the hinge point with something more substantial. Or, replace the headgear entirely with one from another hood.

2. Take a die grinder or dremel and cut a curve out of the neck so that it won't hit you on the Adam's apple everytime you drop your hood. I think there are youtube videos demonstrating what I mean. Then, optionally, pop rivet a piece of leather to the neck for extra protection against arc burning your neck or chest.

3. ArcOne makes an autodarkening lens that will fit the hood with a little work. I have one, but haven't fitted it in yet.

They are. Fit and finish is fantastic

Would you mind posting a picture of one of the wrenches from the side? I've got a set of genius brand wrenches and my only complaint is that they have hard un-rounded edges so they're not very comfortable to use. Below is a pic of what I've got for reference.

I've been tempted to try from him again just solely due to the diversity of products he offers. I had a very lengthy and unpleasant first buying experience with him but it was during his move back to the States and I'm considering trying once again by chalking up the first go-round to his move. Did he communicate with you at any point or did these just simply show up a week and some later? Thanks for any response.

I have a similar set of mac wrenches with the same complaint. Snap on ones are so much nicer if you can justify the price.
