Waiting for $25 again, strange that they didn't discount the battery's last year.

I guess I would ask why they would drop them to $25 (or any other tool with crazy price drop)? We all know they would have sold almost as quick at $50, and they wouldn't have lost as much money.

They sell the 2-packs several times a year, so they will be on the shelf again shortly. Whether it is their intention or not, it is nice that they are getting the older batteries off the shelf, for when the next freighter of Ryobi 2-packs come in.

Never ask why HD does something, it will give you a Popsicle headache. They throw away perfectly good stuff after it drops to a penny. Some throw away A LOT of stuff and quality stuff.

Your question can be applied to nearly every great deal we find at HD. If they had managed inventory, displayed items with correct price etc then we would never find anything for much less than 25%off. But they don't, so we get lucky at times and score large savings.

One could ask, "why don't they show each mark down on tool chests, if they did then they could have have easily sold them at 20-30% off" instead of selling a item for $50 vs its retail price of $299. Again, poor inventory and pricing control.

Around here, stores will sell out of the 2 packs if they advertise them at $89. But I know of a few stores that have plenty in inventory and no where on the floor. They are sitting in a box up top waiting on me to find them when they hit $25 :bounce:

Yep. There are things you and I (and others) know is on the clearance schedule and the stores don't have a clue. And we see it sitting there on the shelf with the regular price or on an upper level and it drops in the system and they don't have a clue.

I've been asked many times 'how did you know that was x price', 'how do you find these things all the time'. I smile and say it was luck. :bounce:

I was strolling around looking for good tool deals when I stumbled upon this at $10.00 down from $16.42. Ironically I need one as I recently went from 6" to 8". SKU 518100

I knew my local store still had the old Fiskars tree pruners. They were marked down on clearance the last time I was in, and I hoped I could manage to score my first Lincoln, since someone posted here that they were down to a penny. Went to the self checkout and was surprised to see that it was back to it's original price! I did find two more 36" Husky box tops for $50. All of the Milwaukee tops around here are attached to the bottom, I would prefer that over the Husky, but no such luck.

I've watched these threads some but never found great deals beside a Senco stapler last year when it was at it's .03 mark down. Then there was last years thread getting locked because they thought the .01 deals were going away. So I was in a local HD a week or so ago and saw Sliding Door Hardware was down to .03 mark down it was like 50.03 and it's usually 179. I'm working in my basement to add a sliding door to a weird wall for my workshop to keep the dust down in the rest of the basement. Didn't know if it would fit so I didn't buy it. Went home measured and it would fit so I decided to go back today and buy it at the 75% off price. I get there and the spot is empty and sticker is gone and I was disappointed that I let a good deal on something I needed get away. Looked around and the box is 6 feet long but didn't see anything in the isles around there. Then I went back looked up top and what's up there? 1 of the sliding hardware kits I was looking for, I had to **** it up and go ask the pro desk for someone to help me. They came and I said that kit was 75% off last week didn't know if it would fit so I didn't buy it. Found out it would work and was back to buy it, is there anyway you can get it down for me? Guy said sure went and grabbed the ladder he grabbed the sliding hardware and I went to self check out. Ring it up and it has since dropped to .01 I fumbled and quickly got a dollar out put it in the kiosk and then had to wait for my receipt and change. Finally got it and I was able to not have the helper see that I just got it for a .01 and she was 3 feet away from me into the store as I left.

Markdowns must be behind around here. Fiskars trimmers are all the .03 price still. Grinders are $24, says original was $30, not enough of a deal for me on that. Wink hubs are $39.97. Oh well.

I'm pretty sure any Lincoln that is in the PCA as a penny is the non working demo unit.

Also, they have the new poles in. The new ones I believe are oval poles and the locking mechanism on the extension part is a push button. The penny is a round pole and the locking mechanism is a small lever. There are some pennies mixed in at some stores.

Glad it worked out. She may or may not have known. Some stores or employees don't care. look at the guys on here who scanned 80 pass through sockets. I've scanned 30 plus items several times and no one cared.

There are 3 different ones. A black "ropeless" one and two orange ones, one 14' and one 12'.

It can vary by region, just know you are getting a great heads up on what to look for.

Home Depot's Deal of the Day has Milwaukee 1/2" 18v impact with one 5.0 battery and charger for $249. Cheapest I've seen it.
Also on Toolbarn for same price. Click on it to get the $249 deal, it shows as $273 before you do that.

In the picture of the Milwaukee band saw was a green box for a jumper pack. How much was it? It should go to 18.03 (approx). Good reseller believe original price is almost $80

The last clearance will be 20.03, the original price is about 80. Those were .03 in my area a long time ago.

Found 36" 5-Drawer Rolling DeWalt Tool Cabinet at the South Overland Park, KS HD for $114 per box. Store sku 1000042423. There is 1 left there as of this morning if anyone is reading this. I'm sure it's YMMV for everybody else.

Do you know what it was before? My district has been holding these steady at $324. Is this a drop from $324 to $114?

Yup, and the pole I took up to the checkout was the old version that was marked down to $10 two days before. I thought it was strange and had to be something that store did individually, if that's possible.

I agree with you on the other 6" to 8" comment being funny, and it was on page 69 of the thread :willy_nil

I don't know about the 14' pole which was 10.03 but I know the 12' pole is now almost zero. :bounce: Found one yesterday.

I have seen stuff penny at one store and go to $.02 at another. The orbit fire hose nozzle is worth $4.53 or penny but not $19.98. YMMV
