I had to argue with 2 employees for 30 minutes to even get them to check. They finally decided it was easier to scan one of them than to keep arguing. Unfortunately it was a barcode for the set at $698.

I still insisted that there were more tops than bottoms but they wouldn't sell just a top. They told me the other bottom had to be there somewhere they just didn't know where.

Oh well. It was definitely worth a shot.

Keep an eye on 'em. Anytime you see a box where you can read it, look for the right UPC. Take it to register and go. Worst case, act like you want a combo then just ring up the $50 top and leave!

Was able to get the Milwaukee 46" base for the top I purchased. It was a pain. The only reason I was able to get it at this price is because they put the sticker on it. Actually they had the sticker on 3 of them but said they were supposed to be pairs. Which they have the correct UPC for the ones on sale. Got it for $240 and the top for $50. Not a bad deal.

I think this is the first I've read of the base unit being $240. I know at my store they are $280, and that's what I've read on here previously also.

Anybody else see this lower price at their store?

Must be nice. Still at $399 and $419 over here and only 2 stores (100 mile radius) with them in stock.

I got one for $230, but I used a $50 off $250 from Lowes :bounce:

I managed to find one of the Milwaukee uppers over the weekend that ended in "1", but as luck would have it, the computer system went down while I was there so I could not check the price.

Price check on the cat?

In my store the cat would not be sold separately. It is clearly part of a package deal with the grill although there are more grills than cats. I'm certain they have additional cats stored in various locations throughout the store that will be paired with the purchase of the grills that appear to not have a cat available to purchase with them.

That's the way my conversation about the Milwaukee upper went anyway.

Lol

In that store have a feeling the rats, mice and birds out numbered the grills, employees and customers.

That cat was well fed, it was 2pm and its napping. Must have been a busy hunt.

Does anyone know if the Ryobi 4ah batteries are no longer available? Yesterday there were about 6 set available, today all of them are gone. I know MET team is going around and cleaning the shelves.

So did you look in the PCA? Does it say they have any of the solo uppers in stock?

Should still be. Last drop just happened. Check stock but wouldn't be surprised if they were purchased. 2 4 amp batteries for the price of one 2 amp battery.

I did look in the PCA and inventory shows 0 solo uppers. There's a chance that they could have another bottom somewhere in the store but I think their inventory is just really screwed up. I could only get them to scan 1 of the 3 upper boxes so I'll never know. The system only shows 2 sets in stock but they have 2 1/2 sets in the rafters plus the display if it counts.

ya, the display is part of the counts. I think that is where some stores messed up their inventory (if they were shipped the correct counts to begin with). I think some stores opened the boxes that should have been sold solo, rather than the ones with the same UPC, and displayed those.

just my ex-retail mind thinking, when we all know that doesn't mix with HD's inventory/stock system. :headscrat

I completely agree. Most employees don't understand there are different UPC's as the products and packaging are otherwise IDENTICAL.

What did the Dewalt 36" tops and bottoms/set sell for originally? I've found 3 tops for $120 and $140, plus plenty of bottoms in the area but I'm still meh on the quality. No different than the current Huskys I have which were less.

These are down to $108 in some areas but they don't seem that prevalent. Doesn't come up on website at all

Also just did a R&R on Milwaukee searchlight 2354 for $50 :)

Ok, so they are now with the rest of the ryobi batteries in the shelves. Used to be on clearance shelf but apparently they got moved back to regular merchandise shelves now. I was on a hurry earlier and found out just now when I went back.

I was down in another town picking up some items from a CL deal. I had some time so I stopped by the local HD there since I've never been to it...

Wow, layout was TOTALLY different from every other HD I've been to (which they are usually pretty consistent)...

Lots of clearance items on the shelves mixed in with regular items! Better clearance stuff was sitting in the isles in boxes and stuff... More clearance things on the end-caps... It was fricking crazy... A complete 180 from my local HD that never has squat...

Anyhow, I saw they had those pruners for $7.53 and I grabbed one. I texted a friend to see if he wanted me to grab him one too, which he did. Literally in the time I walked down the next isle and circled back around the last 4 disappeared (like 11am with the store mostly empty)!!! WTF... Did someone really come in and grab them?

Walked around the store, albiet kind of quickly as I didn't have much time before I needed to be somewhere. Lots of little things marked down, but the Milwaukee's were still $698 and other boxes still higher than everyone else on here... :(

Went to self-checkout, I bought a 3-way LED that I needed (ridiculously priced), then scanned the trimmer and it was a penny... I guess an associate finally grabbed them as I saw one hovering around that area working. Talk about getting one just in the nick of time!

So I guess between a penny trimmer and like a $16 3-way LED bulb they balance out...

Congrats. One tip on the pruner. Put a small washer on the head side of the bolt for the extension locking lever, without the washer, the bolt will back itself out over time.

I know we only talk about deals, but I have had to use the LSA twice on 2 different tools/batteries and everything was replaced quickly and without issue. Not sure why everyone else has trouble...

Stumbled upon 2 of the Echo blower kits today at $99. I don't have any 58V stuff but really want their chainsaw. I bought both 'cause $99 for just the 2ah battery is cheaper than retail.

I also got an M12 2530 baby circular saw for $75.

Warranty is not really a warranty, LSA *****, I'll be passing on this...

Yeah, I second this. I had an almost new tool I sent in for warranty, then I was informed that the repairs actually weren't covered under warranty, and if I wanted it fixed I had to pay 60 bucks plus shipping back to me. If I didn't want to pay the 60, they would ship it back to me for 20 bucks, or they'd keep it. I used the tool two times and the gears went out inside. It looked brand new. Someone on the 2016 or 2015 thread had the same problem with Ridgid tool as well. I don't buy their stuff just because they hold it hostage if they can find a way around giving you the lifetime warranty. If you buy anything on .03 or less, you might as well throw it away if it stops working.
Oh, and when I did get it back, they sent it back without the battery, but required the battery to be sent with it originally. Buyer beware.

I scored the top box for this for $42 today. It was marked $84 but rung up half price.

The silver "limited edition" upper? They're still $99 here. They look pretty small actually. The black $49 one with dual (left/right) upper drawers looks much nicer and larger.

Any 20v brushless cordless impact drivers on clearance? I have a $120 budget if that helps.

Yes Dewalt is $99 right now. Actually not sure about brushless...

That one isn't brushless. If you are looking for that same impact driver they are selling for as low as $60 on ebay. I'd like a brushless one unless someone can tell me why that isn't a big deal.
