Looks like SK has really stepped up their oiling of impact sockets game! Those things look coated in oil

I sprayed them and wiped them down with some penetrating oil. Any sizes I don't really use will start to rust pretty quick.

Picked up the VIM MMS64 bit set the other day along with the IMPACT-8 bit set for my hand impact. VERY happy with both purchases!

New toy for the shop after it gets a full rebuild... WW2 era CP 450 riveter. This one was converted to a hot dimpler at some point in it's life. When all of them are home, I'll have an 18", a 24" and two 36" throat riveters for the shop. Still have two of the riveters and about 6 other items to move home as the weather and schedule allows.

Just picked these two Husky benches up from HD today. They're $199 a piece right now. 4a4ccb82bf69ccc6ac0504a4a55aee2c.jpg

I have wanted a decent borescope for some time. I could not justify the major expense though. Snap-On had this one for a great deal. I could not pass it up.

I like that hard handle scraper. I think I have the NAPA branded version. The blade it came with was junk. Replaced with some US blades. Haven't used it for gasket scraping, but a bunch of other things. Held up great.

Yesterday I was sorting through a few boxes of electrical misc. that I won at an auction. A couple of work lamps, connectors, cords and some other supplies. I came across a bag of zip toes (first picture). :)
To my surprise, I saw that those zip ties were restraints that cops use (second picture). :headscrat

Picked up a set of twist sockets which I was pleasantly surprised to find that they were made in USA. I also scored a brand new FHLF80A on EBay which I immediate put to use!

Just scored an FHLF80A last week....off EBay, and recently picked up those twisties Craftsman branded at Ace & Kmart (regular plus add on set) on closeout. Haven't used the sockets yet but I'm installing body mount bushings on a 20'yr old Jeep next week, and I'm in the NE, so....

You will like that ratchet!

I'm not familiar with Twist Sockets. How are they used?

I believe people refer to them as turbo sockets as well, if you round the head of a bolt or nut, in my case an extremely rusted bolt head, you tap the twist socket on and the ridges in the socket grip the hardware enough to be able to turn it with a ratchet.

I'm in NH and the salt on the roads is a killer! Getting the
Hub/bearing assemblies off an 03 mini Cooper took me twice as long as it should have.

I already love the ratchet... is it bad that I want it in every size and configuration...?

picked up a set of non-flex head gearwrench 120xp ratchets. i didnt own a single fixed head ratchet, even my long 26" Mac Axis is a flex head, and sometimes its nice to have a fixed head. the 120 tooth is super fine and is nice that way, but they have more back-drag than most mac and snap on ratchets that im used too. oh well, they were alot cheaper than the tool truck brand and the local napa will warranty them no questions asked, and i dont even have to wait for the tool truck. just send it with the parts delivery driver and get a new one half an hour later, if its in stock.
Also inherited a set of shallow and deep SAE sockets 1/4 drive and a 1/4 drive ratchet and a couple extensions by SK. all usa made stuff. Grandpa passed away a couple years ago and dad didnt need them as he has snap on stuff so they get passed down to me.
