I just bought a smaller Milwaukee set and then a 4.5" by itself with the arbor and I spent $120.00. If you don't mind, what did that complete set cost you?

Picked up some roll pin punches. The one size that is missing is what sold me on the set....

I have been on the fence about buying Snap-on punches. I have a set of various sizes and lengths, and have not been overly impressed. I find that I am dressing them more than I would like, and they hold no better of an edge than my set that was worth a fifth of what I paid for them.

I have been looking for a good set of roll pin punches, as I see a lot of them at work (roll pins). I had my eye on a beautiful set from Tekton, that comes in a wooden holder. But they are online... long story short, I watched a co-worker walk on the truck, swap his bent roll pin punch for a new one (the one that is missing) and walk off. Our dealer is a great guy, warranty isn't a struggle. I gave my head a shake and paid up. I guess sometimes it is about the service. I'm not a bleeding heart snappy guy, but for some things, man it just makes sense.

And it helps that I am now entered for the bike ;)

Overkill for a wannabe shade tree like me? I dunno, between me and my brother we have 6 vehicles and if I use each one once they've already paid for themselves. I need to replace suspension connectors on my '02 WRX and '99 4Runner and he needs to on his 98 Dakota. According to my research these are the two best bang for the buck affordable kits for a non-pro out there.

New set of wrenches to ride in the truck. Mainly for roadside emergency use. Nice complete set from Tekton. I tried out some of the common sizes and the fit is pretty good. Looking at this set and then a one off Tekton socket I had, I may buy some more of their stuff.

Then we have the flea market find Proto 15" adjustable wrench and the Athol 113 vise. No idea what I will do with the vise, but the adjustable wrench will get cleaned up and tossed in the truck. While not free $30 total for two chunks of American made metal wasn't too bad.

I also dropped some coin on an SK 1945 deep well metric 1/2" set. Can't wait.

Got a bunch of Hex Socket Screws... decided to organize them in a Durham drawer.

Got some TOPTUL from ebay... 1/2" drive extendable ratchet and the 3/8" drive stubby.

Also spent some time rebuilding/modifying/making better... my new Arbor Press. The handle on the speed wheel is a billet shift knob from a Honda... just about every bolt was replaced with longer stainless hardware. I even finished the set screws by grinding smooth the business end of all 4.

Not really an overkill. I have the same set as yours - both the Astro and Gearwrench and they came in very handy replacing ball joints and tie rod ends. I thought I'd only use them on my wife's car but also did my in-laws cars.

I have the HF one as well. Got the job done without any problem. Aside of the SO and MAC trucks, they had it at an affordable price. Besides, I'll only use it a few times in my home garage.

I love it. It ripped the front diff bolts and the crankshaft pulley bolts on my truck like nothing. The torque adjustment is easier than the MG725 I have that died ($50 off fleabay) plus the forward/reverse is much better. It cost a bit more than the MG725 at $589.95.

it could be missing, it looks like there should be a capacitor under that cap and someone removed it, i could be wrong though.

if thats what it is, its used for checking an ignition coil/spark. That one looks nice, much nicer looking than the one i made. nevermind i see you answered your own question.
