In my sig, the "tool" is underlined with a link added by VigLink that goes to a TSC webpage. I didn't put that there. Some kind of spam or hack?

Try the edit function and take it out. Once you have done that type it in again and hopefully it will go away. I am seeing that in my posts as well and if I refresh what I type it goes away but in your case the link has set for some odd reason.

I am seeing the Power Tool Repair as a full link.

Ok I deleted the Power Tool Repair part and saved. Checked some of my posts and those words were gone. Then I re edited my sig and put it back and it came back. Also seems to be different sites are linked at different times.:headscrat

This forum runs Viglink which is a tool that automatically parses the text of the forum and ads affiliate links to websites with products for sale to earn referrals. It's part of how Ryan pays for the forum. If I were to type say, Gucci Purses or Luxury Watches those may end up being affiliate links to websites selling those things.

I tried to refresh a couple times and it still comes back. Not that it's a big deal but it kinda makes me look like I'm peddling or spamming someone else's products.

I tried a few things with your sig, like an extra space between the words, didn't work. Neither did making the words lower case. However putting a hyphen between them did work, atleast for now.

If you don't like it, feel free to change it back. We know you're not trying to peddling something as it's a forum issue and not something you put in your sig.

I understand why they are there, and I know this is more work than most people would do, but I wish you could direct the link to a selection of places (i.e. when I say 'tool' I want it to go to a specific site)

You may need to explain to me how you did that as I do not like tampering with other peoples profiles as I prefer just to help and advise.

PM sent.

Normally I wouldn't mess with a member's signature but since the OP started a thread inquiring about it, I figured it was easy to put back if the changes didn't work.
