Re: PHOTOBUCKET is holding some member's photos as hostage. what are the best options
here's a post from the other thread that has a lot of good options:
Photobucket alternatives

Recently Photobucket changed their "terms of use" so that one can no longer post pictures on websites without paying ~$33.00 per month. There are lower priced tiers that allow you to link to the picture but on my computer it takes approximately 25 seconds. I would like the community to post what they use and the cost and a link to the site.
I'll also ad that I don't know how a free site can survive without a LOT of ads or eventually doing what PB did and start charging. I don't think that PB did something wrong, other than no notice and probably should have grandfathered in existing 3rd party links. What they have done is a PR nightmare.
Eventually when I have a dozen or so sites I'll put up a poll and see what floats to the top.
Now alphabetical;
Now two sections, 1] Image Hosting 2] Website hosting
---WEBSITE HOSTING---
-Amazon drive

Stuff not to do
If someone else might own the copyright to it, don't upload it. Don't upload gore, "hate speech" (i.e. demeaning race, gender, age, religious or ****** orientation, etc.), or material that is threatening, harassing, defamatory, or that encourages violence or crime. Don't upload illegal content such as child **** or nonconsensual ("revenge") ****. Don't hotlink to adult content or to file-sharing, gambling, torrent, warez, or Imgur rip-off sites. Don't impersonate someone else. Also, don't use Imgur to host image libraries you link to from elsewhere, content for your website, advertising, avatars, or anything else that turns us into your content delivery network. If you do – and we will be the judge – or if you do anything illegal, in addition to any other legal rights we may have, we will ban you along with the site you're hotlinking from, delete all your images, report you to the authorities if necessary, and prevent you from viewing any images hosted on Imgur.com. We mean it.
