Item: 10" Delta Table Saw

Price: Free

If it is legit, it would be a great deal for someone. From the ad:

"Curb alert for Wednesday, August 23 (garbage night). Delta table saw/stand. Working condition, some rust due to storage in outdoor shed. Instructional Manual included. Could not get photo of actual saw to download-will try again later."

larryq just found another hot deal!

If that is a 6 incher, I can say it is worth more than twice that amount once it is minimally cleaned up. I sold a fixed base Parker 6 incher for $250 and mine needed a new handle. It weighed around 130#

I am moving and cleaning out and I have a bunch of things to give away to someone who can use them. Included are 2 saber saws, 2 hand saws, various tools (screwdrivers socket set) a level, a battery trickle charger, rope, lighter fluid and charcoal, nails/bolts/screws, winter window sealing kit, and lots more! All in working condition, some like new. Look at the pictures. Must take all (it would fit in a trunk)

Item: Small Table Saw with Dayton Motor and Stand

If the motor worked it could be worth a few bucks. I think the stand it is on is more interesting then the saw.

The 'stand' looks like a vintage typewriter table

It is marked "made in U.S.A.

But I wouldn't pay $100
Offer $50 and settle on $75
That would be my strategy.

Look carefully for repairs under that fresh looking paint job.
And check for wear on the jaw faces.

It's a USA vise but not the same fit and finish as their bullet ones. $75 is also where I'd go as a maximum-- these vises are good, but one level below the bullets.

Free workbench and vise. San Jose CA

I should 100% pick that up because it's so close to me. Unfortunately, I really have nowhere to currently put it.

Found this though. They seem popular for this site. I think it's 60's to 70's vintage? $125. Probably offset some of the cost by selling the tools out of it.

BTW regarding the posts a few pages back about all the deals being in California...We have a lot of people so they kind of are. However, you have to realize for something like this toolbox if I was to pick it up after work it would be a 3+ hour round trip drive in stop and go traffic the entire time (30 miles).

A two stage, 60 gallon Quincy compressor for $800 in Sonora CA. Owner says it's in mint condition-- he bought it three years ago and it's had probably 20 hours of use, with scheduled maintenance and oil changes done using Quincy-approved kits. This unit retails for $1300 new.

Does aircompressorsdirect have sales on these? Sonora is quite a drive to end up being a dud.

I've been thinking of upgrading my compressor, but I don't have a 230V plug in my garage. :(

Maybe I can just use my dryer's receptacle? :headscrat

I've never seen a sale on Quincy at aircompressorsdirect, but maybe I've missed one.

IMO Quincy is one of the best companies out there, and the odds of a 3 year old unit with a measly 20 hours on it being a dud are pretty low. I agree that Sonora isn't next door to the SF Bay Area.

Is this the same seller in San Jose? Also selling a Rockwell press for $50:

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/tls/d/rockwell-drill-press/6280000211.html

I'd make some inquiries quick, see if you can get one or both of them. Two of these for $100 total...unheard of.

Well you guys know better than me so I pinged him/her. I'll see if I can take a look/pick them up tonight or this weekend.

Will keep you updated. Still might be a scam. And anything I should look at on the machines assuming it's not a scam?

Breaker panel is on the other side of the house. I'm no longer using the dryer plug. I don't know the voltage rating on that plug though.

Thanks Larry. Gonna be in huge trouble with the misses now!

They were the same seller. Totally cool guys. I just got back with both presses. In decent shape and they both ran well. I'll probably start a thread cleaning them up. They also did 90% of the moving/lifting into my truck.

If anyone wants a vintage fully functioning 80 ton press for free they're gonna scrap it soon. I have their contact info.

Great score on those 2 DP's
Keep your favorite one and sell the other one for what you paid for both. That equals one free drill press!

Tremendous, just tremendous. Very glad a GJ guy got them, and I'll be watching for your restoration threads.
